RALF9636 28 Posted January 20, 2015 Share Posted January 20, 2015 Hi, using P3D 2.4 with all shadow options activated I can still only see a partial shadow of my own aircraft (just the cockpit section) from the cockpit. The shadow is complete in exterior views. Is this how the Airbus is built to improve FPS-performance or is something wrong with my Installation? Qatsi58 6 Posted February 1, 2015 Share Posted February 1, 2015 When your in the VC then that is all of the aircraft model that is present in P3D.The shadow you see is the VC model, it's the same on my computer. I hope eitherLockheed Martin or Aerosoft will find a ingenious solution to render the shadow ofthe complete model. Never noticed this before flying small props, but the problem indeed is the same with all aircraft in P3D. Just much more eye-catching with an aircraft as large as the Airbus. Wouldn't it be possible to add a very basic exterior model to the vc model? No details at all are needed, just for the shadow. Shouldn't be too hard on performance.
