LOWI RNAV 08 wrong ?

Latest Airac cycle with IFLY 737 FSX gives a RNAV 08 at LOWI with wpts WI006 and WI005 after RW 08 and not before the runway as by charts. Could there be a fault in the NavdataPro data ?

Hi,

yes that is a very special case. The IFLY Format seems to require RWY coded in any approach type. Usually is placed directly after the "official" coded MAPt, in this case WI814.

That works for all standard non-precision approaches where the mapt is located near the threshold. In this special case where the MAPt is very far from the RWY this creates some trouble.

A solution to solve this, needs to compare the mapt and the following waypoints regarding their relative position to the RWY threshold, to place the RWY at the correct position into the IFLY coding.

No its a data format issue, that affects all data formats that include the RWY due to data specification, where actually none would be required.

IFLY, PMDG etc.

But placing the RWY to the correct position in between the waypoint sequence could have bad consequences as the trigger position of the first missed approach waypoint is modified against the official published location.

This could cause the missed approach being flown wrong. So regardless which solution you take, pilot intervention is needed in any case.

Entering WI006 and WI005 additionally a second time manually before the RWY could also be a solution.

ok, the best I could do, was taking W1006 and W1005 to the fix page and importing back into the legs page before RW08.(Of course AP disconnect at Mapt.)

But there's another RNAV08 ie RNAV-Z to the RW08 with 2 RF legs, taking you just to the THZ of RW08.

Any idea why this one does not appear in this LIDO cycle ?
