I too love the dirty look.. Looks like a photo.. How about a VF-32 B? With mission markings...

Yes please!

How about this one?

Here are some pics of the F-14B. It is BuNo 162703. VF-32 circa 2004-2005, modex 110. VF-32 was the last F-14B squadron.

Here is a good webpage with close up of markings that VF-32 carried on the final cruise.

I would prefer the D VF-31 from the 2000's :)

I like to be historically correct so should I do a low vis VF-31, it'll be an A from 1991. We do not have a D-model.

Best regards

Dag

Hello,

I was originally thinking that Camelot 110 should be a block 100 model with older style gun vents. But I looked at some photos, the profile above implies that this scheme is from the Gulf War, but Gulf war aircraft have a darker center-fill on their tail markings as shown here:

f14.jpg

That airplane would have old style gun vents.

The paint scheme from the profile is more representative of the squadron from 1992-94, at which point most airplanes had NACA ducts and updated ECM.

Sorry for the confusion, lots of splitting hairs with the configuration.

Camelot 110 seems to be a solid scheme for an early 90s F-14A.

Now, hopefully we will also have some mid-80s TPS stuff as more people join the fray and more schemes are added.

Thanks again for the awesome repaints.

Sorry for the requesters the holidays are over and time to work back again. The paints will be slowly and also I have my personal list

I love the Tophatters!

Can't wait to see it.

BTW, I find myself almost exclusively flying Nickel 107 or Nickel 106. You REALLY nailed the TPS Tomcat scheme, I can't believe that I'm looking at a slight sim. I hope you do more from a few eras.

I can't wait to see Camelot 201.

Beautiful! Hoping that someone would put together a VF-142 paint.

Looks great. They had some great schemes in the 1980s too. Thank you for doing it justice!

Hi,

as much as I love the repaints, but can anybody PLEASE make weathered interior cockpit textures if it is possible of course! In my opinioin the original ones look very steril and too new! Some missing paint scratches and maybe rust would bring the bird more to life!

regards Harry!!!

Rust would be kinda doubtful, paint being rubbed off of commonly handled surfaces and scratches around other rub-spots is more likely imo

Is there a way to backdate the F-14B with an F-14A cockpit? That would make it a bit more realistic since these F-14A+'s (early F-14Bs) are really just F-14As with new engines. I might tinker with things and see if it is possible. Will the aerosoft program allow for a new submodel? Does anyone know?

-Nick

A shot of Dakota 201, some small details and some weathering to go.

I've sat in the F-14, mostly older operational or recently retired aircraft. Even those look just like the simulation to my eyes. They don't take on the super dirty, beaten up interior that I have seen in WWII aircraft. The interiors were clean and well maintained, save for a tiny bit of thinning paint in places.

It should b possible to backdate the cockpit by editing the model cfg and pointing towards whichever block you wish to replace it with

Any other hints?

Looking forward to this one, looks like their markings from ~1997-2001.

I'll try that tonight and see what happens.

Hani,

Would you be interested in doing a "TopGun" movie version, along with face/helmet mappings for Maverick & Goose?

Also, are you opened to face map or instruct someone on "how to" for this baby?

Thanks for all the great projects thus far.

And here is the next

Love the simulated overspray for the fake tail insignia. Great choice!

I'm sure it will look excellent. I hope you have a few other 80's Tomcats on your list!

Repaint a model with only one layer is the simplest of repaints,
Of course there are small problem is the 3d model can have different construction.
But drawing is drawing, human, animals or objects all are same things! We draw only lines and spaces, but the brain that decides what are meaning those spaces and lines, so we drawing only with eyes not with brain or hands

Good Job! Hani!!

Someone play the "DANGER ZONE" please!! :-)

60% completed now,
I'm preparing for the release of "Black Knights Operation Iraqi Freedom 2003" PACK.

The pack Include CAG&CO birds. and many Line-Jets with bombing score markings.

  • using photo texture for Nose, Vertical wing, Landing gear....and more!
  • include the 3 types of pilot flight suit. (Normal, Desert tan flight suit, Desert tan with desert-camo helmet covor)

Coming Soon BABY!!! :-)

Can anbody do a repaint for the squadron from the movie Top Gun or is there a copyright? I see you were able to make new helmets also. It would be cool to see Mav and Gooses helmet.

Outstanding work Hani; maybe you can show me how to put my face on the pilot as well? Keep up the good work and do give us a maverick helmet color scheme to go with the face and model repaints.
