Cold/dark start

Xenomorph

can you give some details about your FSX setup? Like version, tweaks, addons, windows version?

I one's had the canopy issue ,but just rebooted and than is was fine. So i think it has something to do with FSX and your system? Not for sure but highly likely.

FSX acceleration, Tacpack, a few tweaks on the cfg file for graphics, VRS Superhornet, Windows 7 SP1, hardly any addons

Hi

I'm experiencing exactly like Xenomorph;s situation. Reinstallation did not fix it. the opening of the canopy happened once, where I just went to cold/dark to taxi back to c/d. Not able to fly it yet. FSX gold, win7, the only tweak is the HIGHMEM one. As for addons, wow, so many from Aerosoft.

A couple important notes:

(Not Xenomoph) DaveWG got it, it's important to let the check marks go away before pressing another one.

Xenomorph: The custom default flight file is still a point of interest, if you can I'd recommend that you revert to the original default flight, and if not, then at least send the flight files my way (forum or PM) so I can take a look and see if I can duplicate the problem on my system. I can also send you a back-up copy of the default flights that I keep on hand just in case they're needed.

Another thing you can try (not sure if this will work) is to us Windows explorer to go into your user/documents/Flight Simulator X Files, and then directly open up one of the saved flights.

I've been able to replicate this by using a default Cessna 172 that is in a C&D configuration (MASTER off, AVIONICS off and ENGINE off) then selecting the F-14. The engine will crank but not start. As jcagle has said, it is most likely to do with your default flight file.

Hi

I've loaded one of the flights on the carrier and everything worked wonderfully. But still cannot achieve this from a normal scenario. However, a pleasure to fly really.

I can confirm the default flight as cause of this issue. Reset in FSX.cfg (find and delete or comment out the line starting with "SITUATION") and all should be well.

Check six

Mate thanks very much it bloody worked!!!! Now I can finally enjoy this bird
