green dot, F, S, Vref fine tuning

Recommended Posts

Hello,
Just a "fine tuning" regarding calculated speeds :green dot, F, S and vref
example at 64T
Speed from mcdu A319
gd202, S187, F146, VRef 133
speed from QRH
GD 218, S194,F148, VRef 130
Speed from mcdu A318
-Same as A319
speed from QRH
GD 218, S192,F148 Vref 131
The variation with altitude is ok for green dot.
Attached QRH extract for A318-319
I know it's a small issue....

We are looking into it. In the RW there is always a small differences between the speeds as the FAC, FMGC and QRH are calculating the speeds with different parameters. But I have also noticed that the green dot speeds in the sim are a bit more off then I normally see in RL.

Can not promise you anything but we are checking it.

Hi Frank,
Yes. F, S, GD, are recalculated by the FAC. these speeds depend of VS 1G. For exemple, V4 (S speed) is 1.18 of VS 1G 0/0
the FAC uses a numbers of parameters to calculate the speeds ( voted AOA, VC, Thrust, CG, vertical acceleration, altitude, slats flaps ect...).
It explains the small differences between qrh, and the speeds in the PFD.
