IVAO- and VATSIM-Clients FSUIPC-offset

the problem is there is no Sierra mode, at least not on Vatsim.

Of course VATSIM and IVAO has Sierra / Standby mode simulated, what you can't do is to turn the transponder off. You can disconnect from the network but then you’re an offline pilot.

So my question is asked about: if you switch on TA/RA in the Sim for setting the Squawk to Mode C, the switch in IvAp should also switch automatically from STDBY to TX or in vPilot the Connect-Button should be activated.

You must be connected to the network for ATC and to be seen by others. If you connect to the network on a gate, you should set the transponder to S (standby) and when entering or crossing the runway you set it to C (charlie). A lot of airports use the standby signal (Position and ID) to track airplanes on the ground some even with mode C.

It’s an online rule that you connect to a gate or stand. If you connect on a taxiway or runway you can give unpleasant surprises to the ATC and other pilots.
