Airbus339 129
Hello, I would not call this an issue, as doesn't affect much my flight experience, but why right MCDU TOW always displays nearly 500KG below the real TOW calculated?
Deputy Sheriffs Hanse 216 Posted October 1, 2014 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted October 1, 2014 This is quite easy. In the right MCDU we use the calculated TOW from the LOAD-/FUEL PLANNER. This one of course is different from ZFW plus fuel because we deduct the TAXI and APU fuel (according to LOAD- and FUEL PLANNER app. 500 kg. Airbus339 129
500KG for APU and taxi is quite a lot... it could be so much if you are expecting a looooong queue before takeoff However I don't use the fuel planner: I put passengers, cargo and fuel manually on the right MCDU. The fuel is calculated by an external planner and the fuel for APU and TAXI most of times is approximately 200KG. So the only way to reduce this deduction is to change APU and TAXI fuel in the fuel planner?
Deputy Sheriffs Hanse 216 Posted October 1, 2014 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted October 1, 2014 No, we are using a fixed value.... But if you are using an external planner then why do you care about the TOW stated in the LAOD/FUEL MENU? This one is stated there just to check (in case if a manual input) that the TOW does not exceed the limits.......
