Well, a quick recreation of the short hop I did before (Heathrow to London City, for those who REALLY need to get to Docklands quickly) but this time with RAAS disabled. I binned it into the runway on purpose, and P3Dv2 nicely reloaded my default flight. Previously with RAAS enabled it crashed. So I consider that progress!

Sorry Mathijs bad news I'm afraid (for me at least) Disabling RAAS and adding the sound patch has not resolved the issue. Other than the exiting FSX problem the Bus flies just fine.

Odd. Seems like I've "possibly" fixed this. I uninstalled the A318/A319 COMPLETELY. Made sure I'd cleaned up all the folder entries in P3D, My Docs etc. Gone.

Then reinstalled it from scratch, and didn't start P3D, but rather went straight to hotfix 1.02b. Then ran the sim, set my default flight as before (A319 BA, Heathrow) but haven't had a crash since, despite trying.

Previously my install had the updates installed in sequence, as they were released. This time I've gone straight to the latest and not started the sim until I've installed it. Can anyone else confirm the same behaviour as I'm seeing here?

Don't forget to delete the old airbus folder entries in the P3D/FSX folder and also My Docs.

Cheers,

Simon

Sorry no, RAAS wasn't active on that time. But see my post about reinstalling and going straight to 1.02b and it now working WITH RAAS

AppHangB1? That's a weird one. Anybody else see that?

If this may help this is my situation:

FSX: issue still not resolved (even replacing the "sound" file)...only options are either to kill the process via task manager or to reload the default a/c and then exit FSX

P3D V2.4 : (installed on different drive and system than FSX): No issues at all. Sim closes without hanging

Sorry Mathijs, I should have said that that was the error I got after the "not responding" message came up and then I clicked on the close button (x in top right). I hope I've not led you astray with this. Is there some other place I should be looking to give you more information to help with this?

Ok well I've been a loyal customer of Aerosoft ever since they have been around, and have never had any problems with any of the products up until the 318/319. The AXE works perfect on my rig, so I am through messing with the 318/319 and am back to enjoying the AXE. So my question is will their be any kind of refund or credit options for those of us who have the crashing issue? I hope this doesn't come across as mean spirited, I love Aerosoft products and will continue to buy the addons they release that interest me, it's just with this one a whole sim crash upon trying to exit is unacceptable for me personally. A sure fire hot fix would be preferable though to a refund :)

Hi guys, the problem here is:

No problem happens when:
1) Start the p3d (Scenario Setup) to any selected aircraft Ex: "Maule M7 260C"
2) select any (standard or not the p3d) aircraft: Ex. "Lockheed L049_B" or "Airbus A330-300 PW BlackBox" ...
3) Click "OK"
=======
Prepar3d the error when:
1) Start the p3d (Scenario Setup) to any selected aircraft Ex: "Maule M7 260C"
2) I select any Aerosoft A318 / A319
3) I click "OK"
3) select any (standard or not the p3d) aircraft: Ex. "Lockheed L049_B" or "Airbus A330-300 PW BlackBox" or even other aircraft the Aerosoft A318 / A319
3) I click "OK"
4) the error occurs
in short, when any aircraft Aerosoft A318 / A319 is selected and try to select any other aircraft, the error occurs.
==========

System:

- i7 3770K

- nvidia GTX 670

- Windows 8.1 (all updates)

- Prepar3d v2.4

Ok just got the plane less than 2 hour to help and tested it out in P3D and see the problem as well. But only when I start the sim selecet the plane and shut down in P3D(limited testing of end after flight), could be diferent in FSX but i don`t want to make bad things happen to that as well.. so something is not right as it´s not normal behaviur.

quick test is as i expected a dll file causing it and located to be a file called Airbus_ECAMD2D.dll as seen in this small demonstrations video: http://www.twitch.tv/kaptejnln/b/573908870

but let me point out I cant say for sure as there are many dll files and as we know that it could be in another file that cause it as i might just have removed a link for another file thats actualy the real cause.. but I tryeid remove all other dll files and only keep this file, and it happens.

So thats the status confirmed that it can keep the sim running.. in the test raas pro and all othe stuff turned off to try testing it by as clean as posible version 1.0 no hot fix installed.

When i remove "Airbus_ECAMD2D.dll" in "...\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\SimObjects\Airplanes\Aerosoft Airbus A318_A319 Base\Panel_Fallback"

The problem is solved and no more crashs.

So, the question is...
What is the use of the file "Airbus_ECAMD2D.dll" and what's wrong with keeping it in the trash??????

well the problem seems to be in P3D right out of the box by that file, but so far FSX on a clean mashine, worked by 3 flights enen selecting the plane and shut it down. After a reinstall of the whole mashine 2 times in a row first i had another problem by the airbus, not that I liked to do it again...

but I must say I stil have other issues but not related to this subject, so for me the plane is removed again sorry but I have to be able to trust the mashine like the real pilot say it..

Hi,

same Problem here after SP1 with a new problem but the same signature. I started the FSX, choose the A319, then i want to change to the A320, FSX hangs up with the Signature below. FSX exit after use of A318/319 is impossible. I must kill the FSX with Taskmanager. When i wait and do nothing the hole Desktop is hanging and i must restart completely.

Sorry, the Signature is in German, because i am a German User. Sorry for some misspelling.

Regards,

Peter

Okay do you two have RAAS installed? If so try this:

  1. Load FSX with the aircraft on a runway, wait 3 seconds after you are in the cockpit and close FSX -> crash?
  2. Load FSX with the aircraft on a runway, wait until you get the first RAAS call 'On Runway" etc and close FSX -> crash?

Hi Mathijs,

this is interesting.

First, yes i have installed the full Version of RAAS.

1: it crash

2: it crash

but, when i choose the glider, start on the runway, in my case the 26R in EDDM, and then change to the A318 or A319 wait a little bit, RAAS is talking to me then go to exit the FSX, nothing happened! That is strange...

Mmmm I can confirm the issue after the first RAAS call on one of my machines. Okay we'll keep looking here.

I don't have RAAS installed. The crucial thing is that I can use ANY other A/C and exit FSX without crashing. As soon as the A318/9 is loaded, it crashes upon exiting. No matter HOW I try to exit, it crashes. It also crashes when trying to change the A/C. So it is obviously a matter of how the A/C is unloaded.

Hi Mathijs,

ok, i do another attempt. i load the FSX, choose the A318, start on a runway, go back and try tho Exit the FSX, the Taskmanager must do the Work. Then i do the same thing, but before Exit FSX i choose another plane, in my case the PMDG 737, and go to exit and all is fine. :confused_s:

I have the same crash on exit with P3D 2.4 and the A319 SP1.

No Weather addon active, RAAS installed but not active.
