MWH 8
When I have produced a flight plan with PFPX I have noticed that there is sometimes particularly on a long flight a recommended initial Flight cruise level which some time later is increased ie from FL 320 to FL340 then it may be increased later to FL 360. I have assumed this is to do with the weight of fuel and optimum performance/economy. I am not certain how to program the FMS on the Airbus Extended X A320/A321 when this happens. Should I call the cruise level FL 360 or FL320 or should I change the FL on the INIT page mid flight or on the CRZ page. I have not been able to find this explained in the documentation. I would appreciate an explanation. Thank-you. Michael Houghton Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Emi 5161
Hi Michael, enter 320 as cruise level and lateron when you do the step climb just push the alt button once, this should change the FMS cruise als automatically.
