Hello Aerosoft:

On march 11th I purchased aersoft VFR Berlin at Simmarket. Your update is present for download at AO site, but not on my simmarket account.

Where can I get this upgrade?, may I register all my former aerosoft products in the new shop to avoid this problems? (From the old store or from simmarket)

Bests

Mario

Hello Mario,

Have you spoken to Simmarket via there trouble ticket system about the update.

As for your other query I know that Aerosoft Online shop customers old accounts will eventually be transfered to the new Aerosoft Shop but I dont think this applies to Aerosoft products purchased at Simmarket as technically they are Simmarket customers.

Shaun,

I would strongly disagree with that opinion: simmarket quite clearly states (in its german and english version of its FAQs) that it will only provide support for the SALES transaction itself:

Support: Where do i get support for my purchases?

simMarket.com will only give sales related support for products purchased.

Product related support will always be given directly by the Developer, Author and or Publisher or Manufacturer.

Please check the respective product information page on simMarket.com where in the Information Box on top of each products description you will find a line titled SUPPORT. This line will always show information about where to turn for product related support!

I also believe that your point of simmarket customers not being aerosoft customers would not be valid: the product is still sold, installed and labelled under the aerosoft logo - so for all accounts, it is an aerosoft product and I would be an aerosoft customer (technically, logically and hopefull legally - it would be the same as not supporting software because it was bought in some shop on the street rather than in my own shop)...

So I actually DO expect aerosoft to support all of their products sold under simmarket just as if they have been sold in their own shop.

But as usually, that is a matter of personal opinion :) - lets see what aerosoft has to say about it :)

Andreas

Hello Andreas,

I believe you missed the point, we are refering to product updates and not product support. We carry out product support here for Aerosoft Products.

If you purchased a product from Simmarket you are Simmarkets customer as you purchased it from there shop. If you took your custom there that makes you there customer.

A product name does'nt make you a customer of theres it just means you purchased and own a product made by them but not necessarily sold by them if purchased elsewhere. If you purchased directly from Aerosoft then you would be an Aerosoft customer, if you purchased from Game you would be a Game Customer, if you purchased from HMV you would be a HMV customer. So if you purchased from Simmarket you are a Simmarket customer.

Hello Shaun,

so hm... I give you the point on the "customer" if you look at it from that angle... so if I buy the boxed product from MediaMarkt, I am a MediaMarkt customer... fine and agreed.

But where do I get the updates from? (Or should I say "Patches"?) - as far as I was concerned, I referred to VFR Berlin 3.2 being an update to the originally delivered product to fix some problems - that to me is support.

Of course, if there is a new major version (something like moving from FS9 to FSX) I am entirely with you... to me, the question just came up because of the new support forum and the fact that you have to register your products (which is fine) - I just wanted to state that I assume that I get any patches (i.e. corrective actions) from there as well - after all, it still says I have an areosoft product on my harddisk ;)

Andreas

Hello Andreas,

Its just the way the updates are issued as they are not available to anyone else bar the customer who has purchased the product.

As we dont keep a tab of who purchased Aerosoft products at Simmarket, Simmarket then make them available to the customers of theres who have purchased Aerosoft products.
