Hello,

difficult to say with the short Log.txt.

But if you have installed the hd-mesh v2 (global scenery v2), than the Anchorage Recut shall not be installed.

Hello.
Thanks you feedback. Here is full Log.txt
Crashes stop when I remove from custom scenery Aerosoft PALH Lake Hood. Anchorage Recut in custom scenery has no effect on crashes .

There are many plugins and other sceneries installed. Autogate, Phyton, Datarefs-Editor.....

May be this is a combination problem with one ore more plugins and PANC/PALH...

I think it is a good idea to test Anchorage with a clean X-Plane 10.

Delete the additional plugins from the Plugins folder (save them to another location before!)....

So we can check if Anchorage by itself has the problem, or another scenery or plugin has a problem with Anchorage.

Hello letec,

ok... sometimes it is a big work, to find the problem, i know...

What you also can do is for example (if you have enough disk space): Make a second copy of X-Plane 10 (with the X-Plane 10 Installer from the X-Plane Mainfolder). So you have a clean X-Plane 10 (may be, you have to update it to 10.25...).

Than copy Anchorage into the Custom Scenery Folder of the second copy and test.....

Hello,
Here is Log.txt without any plugins. Problem continues. X-plane crashes. Agree. Sometimes it is long to figure out where the problem is. :mallet_s:
The quickest solution is to dispense with PALH :byesad_s:

Hello,

may be there is a problem with the worldTraffic / AI Planes.

PALH is a water airport....

Try to use X-Plane without the WorldTraffic AI Planes. And than go to Anchorage again...

Hello letec,

i think, there are to many possibilities for this issue...

Do you try to make a second copy of X-Plane 10 without any additional scenery and plugins and use Anchorage on this clean X-Plane 10 installation?

Or move all another scenery out of the Custom Scenery Folder and save them to another location.

Than try Anchorage again... And if it works, than copy some sceneries from the saved location step by step to the cutom scenery folder and test Anchorage again.

May be we find the problem.....

And you can do an update of X-Plane 10 with this installer/updater: http://www.x-plane.com/downloads/x-plane_10_installer-updater/

An update repairs the X-Plane 10 system, if there are problems...

Sometimes there are problems with the X-Plane 10 preferences. You can reset them:

Move all files with the extension .prf out of the preferences folder to another location. And than start X-Plane 10.

X-Plane 10 will create new prf files and you have to configure your X-plane 10 again (Joystick, rendering options....).

The preferences you find here: <X-Plane 10 main folder>\Output\preferences

Hello Heinz

Ok. Here log.txt. and in custom scenery only PALH,PANC,Z41 and Recut.
I'll add that this same problem with PALH I was also on the previous computer.
There was a different processor(AMD), other GPU, other motherboard etc.
And after replacing the PC I made a new installation of Windows and install new X-plane.

Update I'll try later.

Thank you.

Ok,

i think, that is not a PALH problem, but a plugin problem:

Autogate, EZ-Pushback, Phyton... .....

The Log.txt says, that there is a problem to find a suitable Runway. But PALH is a Water Base....

I have tested Anchorage here on several Computers (Win 8, MAC,...). It runs fine...

Hello Heinz,

I've had the exact error today (just installed the scenery today. I do have autogate running, but if PANC has no auto-gate, why and what plugins could interfere with it?

My hypothesis is that somehow the ATC can't figure out which runway to place AI aircraft, as it's a water airport. I had about six planes sitting in the water.

I don't intend to use PALH, and wish only to have PANC (which is what I thought I was buying) in operation.

Is there a way to remove/disable PALH, as I don't wish to have my other plugins for aircraft and scenery not in operation.

Thanks

Bill

Nevermind, I see that PALH is a separte folder. I'll remove it and see if PANC is stable.

Thanks

Hello Bill,

ok,

but you must not remove PALH. You can disable it into the scenery_packs.ini file with a small editor. Open the file and put a _DISABLED to the PALH entry and save the scenery_packs.ini.

I made a version of PANC and a nearby airport: Elmendorf. Since I'm using Aerosoft's version of PANC, Elmendorf was nuked. I eliminated Anchorage cut: 1) Elmendorf came back, 2) PANC tiles are less washed out.
What the heck is ANCHORAGE CUT for? It crashes my WED, so I can't figure out.

There is a traffic issue with PANC, incoming traffic (flow) has an issue, i received an error message recently. I guess PAHL should get no traffic, no ramp starts. I'm gonna check if the absence of Ancho CUT solves the issue as well.

Hello frede,

the Anchorage Recut is only a fine mesh behind the airport, to see the correct terrain (for PALH for example).

You must not install the Recut, if you have installed the Alpilot HD-Mesh V2 in that region.

Same issue here.

I have created a new X-Plane installation (10.25 @ OSX 10.9.4). Only installed the standard world scenery and the Alaska part.

Anchorage works fine. But after installing the additional Airports from the last DVD of the US version PANC crashes!

Is it possible to remove this? Disabling of the new added airports (EDDK, EDDM, EDDT, LFMN, LPFR) is not helping ...

Ok,

before you do it, you can try to reset the preferences.

Goto <X-Plane 10 Main Folder>\Output\preferences

Delete or better move all files with the extension .prf to another location.

Than start X-Plane 10 again. X-Plane 10 creates new prefernces files.

Now you have to setup your system again (Joystick, Rendering Options ....).

In some cases this solves the problem.

But if you want to do a new X-Plane 10 installation, please don't use the installer from DVD 1.

Use only this installer as posted in the previous post: http://www.x-plane.com/downloads/x-plane_10_installer-updater/

Run it and than put dvd 1 into the drive.....

Same problem on my computer as described in previous posts.

I tried clean installs etc to no avail.

Removing PALH and Z41 solves it. I used the scenery .ini method and disabled both PALH and Z41.

"You can disable it into the scenery_packs.ini file with a small editor. Open the file and put a _DISABLED to the PALH entry and save the scenery_packs.ini.

SCENERY_PACK_DISABLED Custom Scenery/Aerosoft - PALH Lake Hood/"

Hope that helps folks who are stressing over this issue.

Cheers!
