It looks than in P3D shadows on external model looks and working ok but I noticed this strange "gap" with shadows on external fuselage near the wing in FSX:

Not my fault ! FSX poor shadow engine , the leading edge tank is extended as far into the fuselage as it will go without showing in the intake,, one more reason to cross over to P3D .
