Firstly, thanks for such an amazing rendition of this classic British jet!

Secondly, using XS452/ZU-BBD as an inspiration I've come up with a 'Thunder City F.3'.

This aeroplane is based around the 'what-if' scenario of Thunder City purchasing and restoring the RAF Leuchars Lightning XR713 to flying condition. The scenario is, of course, completely fictional as is the registration - ZU-BBO. I painted the aeroplane in the Thunder City house colour - black.

I plan to do another based around the late XS451/ZU-BEX in another 'what-if' scenario of Thunder City restoring either XR749 (already included) or XP706.

If anyone is interested in this paint then I'll upload it for download.

Hi,

Here's the second paint I mentioned as I'm having trouble with the black one's finish.

As this is based roughly around ZU-BEX, I really hope it doesn't seem in bad taste towards the late Dave Stock. It is intended to be a tribute more than anything else.
