Taxi in beta range

Hi!
First of all, I'm really enjoy flying this addon. Terrific work, gentlemen.
I have two questions about it:
1) Is it possible to taxi this aircraft in beta range? I've read in several places that the best way to taxi a turboprop is setting the throttle in beta range. But when I set the throttle in beta (not in reverse) the plane stops. BTW I've configured my x52pro's beta range using FSUIPC.
2)Is there any way to assign the clock's buttons to my joystick? Right now I'm using a my own watch when I have to fly a holding pattern but I'd love to use the twotter's clock.
Thanks in advance.

The forward beta range is actually from ground idle (FSX throttle at idle) and up to Flight idle. From flight idle at forward the props starts to be governed by the prop governor.

One problem is that ground friction in FSX is too high, thus much higher thrust is required to start rolling.
