Bingo 3
Hi, I’m using NavDataPro database Apr3/May1 2014 Looking at the STAR arrivals into KDFW (Dallas Ft. Worth) there are some missing STARS and some STARS that should not be there. This is the case for both the PMDG 737 NGX and PFPX. The following STARS are missing: BONHAM SIX BOWIE TWO CEDAR CREEK SEVEN GLEB ROSE NINE The following STARS should not be included: BYP6 CQY7 UKW2 My reference link is:http://map.aeroplanner.com/plates/plates.cfm Bill Clark
Jan-Paul Schuchna 24
Hi Bill, the procedure idents are generally using the three letter navaid idents and not the full names: BONHAM SIX = BYP6 BOWIE TWO = UKW2 CEDAR CREEK SEVEN = CQY7 GLEN ROSE NINE = JEN9 so everything is there. Bingo 3
Thanks Jan-Paul, Usually the abbreviated names look similar to the "full STAR/SID" description, unfortunately, this particular airport didn't follow that example. I'll be more careful in the future. Bill Clark
lonewulf47 83
Bill, You might also want to see the OFFICIAL reference to the naming convention for SIDs and STARs in the US, which is provided on all NACO charts - BTW issued by FAA rather than the airport . Bingo 3
Jan-Paul, Thanks for pointing that out to me...............I use this particular source all the time and I never noticed the "shorthand" description above theSID/STAR name before.
