EDIT !! New version available as GA Hotfix 2 !!

I found a small issue with the Go-Around mode of the Autopilot.

When Go-Around mode is active it cannot be canceled by pressing the ALT mode or when Altitude hold activates by the use of the Altitude Alerter mode (altitude capture).

This has been fixed with this small hotfix:

Simply unzip into Your Flight Simulator X main folder and answer yes when prompted to overwrite.

Here is how it´s supposed to work:

Pushing the G-Around button will cancel all lateral and vertical modes and revert to manual AP mode i.e pitch and bank hold and set pitch to a 8° climb.
The GA mode is meant to be used this way during approach:
Before starting the approaoch the following scenario might exist:
  • AP is on
  • Lateral mode can be any of these: HDG, NAV (GPS or VOR), Manual Roll mode
  • Vertical mode can be either: ALT, IAS or Manual Pitch mode.
Assume You are in HDG mode, intercepting an ILS localizer....
Your descending in IAS mode towards an altitude of 3000 ft, selected in the Altitude alerter and ALT ALRT has been selected.
The aircraft will level out and change to ALT mode at 3000 ft, now flying level.
The aircaft will capture the localizer and turn towards the runway in NAV mode
Now select APPR mode.....
The aircraft will continue towards the runway, and once it captures the glideslope, start to descend on the glide slope.
At this point You should set the Altitude alerter to the misses approach altitude, let´s say 4000 ft, and the heading bug to the runway heading or missed approach vector.
Near the runway You opt to Go around, thus pressing the Go Around button....
GA mode now activates, canceling any preivious vertical and lateral modes and reverts to manual lateral and vertical mode (Roll and pitch hold).
Pitch will at the same time be set to 8° climb and the aircraft will start to climb.
You can now press the ALT ALRT and the aircraft will keep climbing at 8° pitch and cancel GA mode once it reaches the set altitude, reverting to ALT mode.
Alternatively You can press any other mode and GA mode will be cancelled. F.ex while climbing in GA mode You can press IAS and HDG buttons.
