Why CAUTION Callouts during approach?

Recommended Posts

That's not exactly true.

For example, at EHAM both runways 18R and 18C are landing runway, but there is no required separation with these parallel approaches. Planes who are in approach for 18R will intercept the localizer at 2000ft, planes for 18C will intercept at 3000ft. This will prevent dangerous situations if a plane overshoots the ILS.

Now, in GATC, you will get the caution call-out when plane start decent on the glideslope which is quite unrealistic as the procedures are used in real life too
