Fred

Just spotted this in the readme from Pete's latest version of MakeRunway program.

Thought it would be nice to have in your Program

So for example you could have an option for the user to run this for an airline (BAW); this file is then read by your program.

If I then select an airport it will give me all the gates assigned for that Airline.

Eg I'n flying for BAW and want to know what gates are for my company at KJFK, voila I get them easy with your program

What do you think

Clive

=========================================================
GATES FOR AIRLINE FILE
There is also an optional file, listing all the Gates for a specifically
selected airline. To obtain this for your preferred airline, run
MakeRwys.rexe with a command line parameter such as (e.g.)
/BAW
for the airline code BAW (British Airways).
If you are also using the />n and/or /+T parameters, those must come first.
The gates are listed in sorted order of Airport, but not of Gate name or
number -- the Gates are in their scenery file order. The file produced will
be an ordinary text file named <airline code> Gates.txt. e.g.
BAW Gates.txt
in the above case.
=================
After running the program to completion, just copy the files to their
respective program's folders.

Here's an extract for British Airways assigned gates at EGLL

This only works if the scenery as been setup with airlines/gates. I know in some you have this options. Sometimes if this is set then there are no free parking slots!!

I've made a very quick and dirty Airline Gates Spreadsheet, which allows to filter by Airline and Airport.

Obviously it was created with my scenery, but just to give an idea.

I think its a good way of known where to park and not any random place

Also it looks like it does not pick up the correct fields

Look at at Aircraft and then Registration. Just trying to be helpful here Fred

Can you define the phrase respective programs's files? In other words, where do you place the output file?

Thanks

Hi Dom

Makerunways creates quiet a few files which by default go into the route folder of your FSX installation.

Now, I'm not sure where Fred needs to place these files or will 'Gates' read the correct files from the FSX route folder

Something Fred needs to answer

Also, how do you send you flights to FS Captain?

Clive, please try to import your planes again please? (File -> Add Aircraft -> PFPX button) and see if it works. To send your flights to FSCaptain go to (Options -> PFPX Schedule -> FSCaptain) check the checkbox to send all flights (will erease the existents, make a backup) or keep unchecked to send only the selected on gridview or showed in form) and please, could you run that software of Flight1 to fix the registry of FSX? That´s the link: FSX/FS9 Registry Repair Tool (36KB).

Thank you very much for your help. Pleas don´t stop to show me the bugs.

There has to be a 'comma after <Prefix> like this <Prefix>, or a carriage return [enter]/[LR] .......I think!!!

Otherwise you will end up will the list in one long row which we have seen will not work
