Support overload. We are currently seeing 65% more demand for support then we normally see. We can only assume this is because more people are at home due to the corona crises. Our complete support staff is online and they are working flat out, but it will take some days before we can scale up resources. Please be patient.

Airbus Extended Precaution Question

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,
I’m not having any trouble and as far as I can see, the installation of the Airbus Extended went smoothly and is properly set. I DO feel it’s important to note that I HAVE NOT selected, (Activated via selecting), any of the Airbus A320’s in FSX at this time so certain files that may typically be generated when that happens, probably have not been.
I have FSX installed in a dedicated drive, (1TB HDD Drive “Z”), and as I’m reading the manuals, (I’m at the beginning of “Vol1-InFSX EN.pdf”), I came upon the part about the NavDataPro.
The manual states that it was installed with Airbus Extended and the ini file is located: \My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files\AerosoftAirbusExtended\ NavData.ini file.
However, it installed “AerosoftAirbusExtended” here in my system: C:\Users\Agatha II\Documents\Aerosoft\.
The “Aerosoft” folder containing “AerosoftAirbusExtended” also contains my “AerosoftTwinOtterExtended” folder so I believe the “Aerosoft” folder was generated back when I installed the Twin Otter Extended program in October.
To be even clearer, the “Flight Simulator X File” folder is located here: C:\Users\Agatha II\Documents which is the same location as the “Aerosoft” folder that contains the Airbus and Twin Otter folders I’m speaking about.
I can easily move, (drag n drop), the entire “AerosoftAirbusExtended” folder into my “Flight Simulator X Files” folder if that’s your recommendation. However, if the present location of the “AerosoftAirbusExtended” will not be a problem then I don’t want to complicate anything by moving it.
So, can I leave “AerosoftAirbusExtended” where it’s been installed or should I move it? Does it even make a difference?
Thanks, Rich

Hi There,

I'd just leave the files where they installed. I think the manual may have the old target location for them. With the configuration program that has been added you shouldn't need to edit any of the .ini files manually any way.

Hope this helps.
