Turn off DX10 preview if on.

If it's already off, someone with a similar problem resoloved it here by re-installing the scenery.

If you do a reinstall, remember the following (Good advice for any reinstallation, and the 4th through the last bullet is the way you should always install FSX add-ons):

  • Delete the scenery only through the Windows Control Panel (if you find a dedicated unistall file, that's OK too, but many programs don't have them. Control Panel is always safe).
  • Do a disk check (right click on the FSX drive, select properties, select tools, select check now).
  • Reboot Windows.
  • Turn off your antivirus.
  • Reinstall as Administrator (right click on installation file, then choose "Run as administrator" with a left click).
  • AFter the installation is complete, turn your antivirus back on.
  • Open FSX and check the scenery to ensure the problem is resolved. Don't do a lot of flying yet and close FSX.
  • Defrag your FSX drive, unless it's an SSD, which you should never defrag.
  • Now go fly and enjoy the scenery.
