BoXon 1
Hi! I just tried to validate a route from ESMS-OMDB, using the "advanced route finder" option. Flightplan: (FPL-TAY-IN -B772/H-SDE1FGHIJ1RWXYZ/LB1 -ESMS2340 -N0488F350 TELMO Z491 KEKOV N195 OMAVA L980 USTIL/K0903F350 N191 GAMAN A805 KARAT R114 TUDEK/N0492F350 UR114 TBN UP146 ARI UT30 DASIS/N0488F390 UL223 LAGSA T217 LAM G666 ORSAR B416 DESDI DESD7S -OMDB0526 OMSJ -PBN/A1B1C1D1L1O1S1 NAV/RNVD1E2A1 DOF/130910 REG/OOTSC EET/EPWW0014 UKLV0104 UKBV0124 UKOV0140 UKFV0151 URRV0213 LTAA0237 OIIX0313 OMAE0505 PER/D -E/0621) I got the following error: ARI UT30 DASIS DOES NOT EXIST IN FL RANGE F295..F999 I have selected FL380 as my final altitude, and UT30 is in range of FL290-FL660 Any suggestions on how to fix? Torben Andersen 15
Hi I agree with you - according to LT AIP ENR 3.3 page 88 UT30 is a unidirectional airway from ARI to DASIS from FL285 to FL660. Using your route I get a validation error PROF195: ARI UT30 DASIS does not exist in FL range F295..F999 I use NG1309. I've tried to edit the airway in the editor, but it doesn't work - perhaps because its NG's data and not my own(?) BTW you use an even FL - think it ought to be odd (also according to LT AIP) Torben
Jarkko 39
Even thought the airway is normally available between FL290 and FL660, the validator is saying, that in your planned route, it is not available above FL290. Same segments are only available for only a hand full of departure or destination airports. Maybe UT30 is one of those? I would guess that the easiest way around this, is to exclude UT30 in the advanced find window.
Torben Andersen 15
Well - UT30 is not mentioned in the Route Availability Document for Turkey, so I'm not sure that is the problem. Torben
Jarkko 39
I had a look at the Navdata provided by AeroSoft for FSC. It seems that in the 1309 cycle, ARI UT30 DASIS is only available between FL285 and FL295. This would be inline with the validation error.
Torben Andersen 15
yes - but not in line with the describtion in the AIP. My best guess is that the Navdata used is errorneous, or some document not available to us restricts the use of the airway. I'll try to validate it via CFMU in Eurocontrol to see if this changes some things. Torben I had a look at the Navdata provided by AeroSoft for FSC. Torben Andersen 15
Have evaluated the FLT plan via Eurocontrol - and (luckily) got the same error as PFPX. So some unknown restriction exists in real life - not much to do about it, I'm afraid - except start building an alternative route. Torben
mikkelgh 5
I think you would have to check the enroute maps for the airspace to see which levels are available for the route, or the CDR papers from Eurocontrol to see if it is a conditional route. Torben Andersen 15
I can see it on the route describtion - no CDRs are mentioned. see https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/25519784/UT30.png Torben
jeffrds 0
When it comes to routing/traffic management, Eurocontrol's rules overrides whatever local rule. At that point of your route, that might be the case.
mikkelgh 5
I haven't checked in what FIR this route is placed. But check the FIR notam and the ENR(oute) section of the relevant AIP. In the ENR-section you can see a text description of each airway in the airspace. Best regards, Mikkel
dz111 11
The validation tool goes through CFMU/Eurocontrol. The checker runs your flight plan through a range of restrictions from multiple sources. Chances are, if you only have one or two errors, no one in the sim environment is going to care. If you don't fly online, then there is even less cause for concern!
