Sorry but just having just watched the Airbus video on the MCE website, MCE is truly awful compared to the AXE co-pilot. Please tell me there is an option not to install MCE.

We are currently doing the last test on a new release, version 1.15. See the doc attached to find all changes. Specially interesting are the fact we are able to include a new navigation database (AIRAC 1309 in a new format, new location) and that the new build will include a fully licensed version of the award winning Multi Crew Experience (see http://www.multicrewxp.com/). This version will only work with this aircraft. We feel this is a great way to enhance this fine aircraft and it fits perfectly in our idea that this should be a 'wide' product, with as much functionality as possible.

Release should be next week.

What happens with those of us that already have a fully licensed ultimate edition of MCE?

Will it be an option on the installer NOT to mess the already installed MCE?

FS2Crew adds an Virtual FO to the Airbus. So does MCE, but FS2Crew is miles better (my opinion)

As I dont want to loose my FS2Crew, is it possible to install MCE and only use thinks you want additionale?

You can use MCE with virtually any Windows Editon, even a chinese one.

The steps to be taken are slightly different. The following applies to non-English editions of Windows.

Windows 8 users: Just need to run Windows Update, download and install the free English language pack.

Windows XP users: No action required. MCE will install the speech engine.

Windows 7 or Vista users:

If you have the Ultimate or Enterprise Edition, just like under WIndows 8, run Windows Update and install the English language pack.

For other Windows 7 or Vista editions, you can use the free Vistalizator work-around

Download the Vistalizator tool: http://www.froggie.sk/

Download the relevant language pack for your operating system: http://www.froggie.sk/7lp64rtm.html (this is the pack for Win 7 64 bit)

Use the Vistalizator tool to install the English pack.

At the end of the installation, you'll be prompted if you want to switch to English language. Say Yes.

This is reversible, and you can go back to your native language anytime you want.

One of the unintended sides of speech reco software like MCE, is that while you're having fun, your English will improve over time. Definitely beats sitting boring English lessons.

You can even create your own custom voice commands to drive anything in the simulator that relies on keyboard.

For example, if you usually have to press a keybord combination to drive a specific add-on, you can tie that to your own voice command and not have to memorise the key combo.

You can practice ATC phraseology with native ATC.

Is it that difficult to convert yourself - you literally can google the converted values!

BTW, the only kg figure really needed is the fuel weight - do that calculation without any calculator. It trains your brain!!!!

Well clearly you can not use MCE, FS2CREW and our own virtual copilot all at the same time as they do more or less the same job.

For now, this is on hold. Doing this is not too difficult, but its not easy either. But one thing is clear, it will be not be in this update.

FS2Crew uses a 'mute' key, while MCE employs a 'push-to-talk' key for interfacing with RC4.3. So silencing one addon should activate the other - pretty much like FS2Crew combined with VoxATC.
