FlightSimSoft.com 283
There is an update of FSGRW neccessary for the winds to work in PFPX. Is still / already in work... Brgds, Judith
Lothar 13
I have both updated progamms, PFPX and FSRGW. To use FSRGW weather we have to set the FSRGWpath: "current_weatherbylatlon.txtl" . But I don*t have this file on my system. Plaease explain this path. We are in contact with FS Global real Weather developers to add an integration for PFPX. Depending on when we get all required information from them, FSGRW implementation should become available soon . maybe even this week
CFG916 6
Hi Lothar, it is already explained her, you have to click the DATA Exchange under Genrell in FSGRW and than you can find the file in " your drive":\FSGRW\data\exchange\common. Regards Axel By the way, Christian has wrote a couple of ours before your last message that FS Global STILL working on an update for winds aloft
FlightSimSoft.com 283
With the new PFPX release (v1.07) FSGRW integration has been significanlty improved. Awaiting your feedback.
mamock 0
Hi Christian, No, this does not work for me, I get the error: "Can't Load FS Global Real Weather (FSGRW) Weather Data" I notice in "Configure Weather Settings" the filename in the path given to FSGRW is: "current_weatherbylation.txtl" - this has an extra character in the file extension... would this be the problem? In FSGRW two files are in the "common" folder - "current_weather.txt" and "current_weatherbylation.txt" but only "current_ weather.txt" is being populated. Does this mean that FSGRW have not got their end working yet, or am I the only one with this problem? Cheers, Mike
FlightSimSoft.com 283
The problem probably is the 'empty' current_weatherbylation.txt file irritating PFPX. Can you rename/remove the file and see what happens?
ChrisM 3
Ahmmmm, sorry to interrupt here, but I'm a little confused now. My information (out of the FSRGW forum) is that FSGRW support for PFPX will be added in Build 15, which is not yet available for the public because of final testing. Build 14 does NOT write the current_weatherbylatlon.txt file. But PFPX still seems to read the current_weather.txt file from FSGRW. Maybe Christian could shed a little bit more light into this. What will be the benefit of the current_weatherbylatlon.txt file, which Build 15 of FSGRW will be able to write in comparison to the current weather implementation of FSGRW? Is this file only for supporting the PMDG 777 ? Thanks & best regards, Chris
ChrisM 3
I did some testing and tried to route through several windchanges at FL360, this is what I got out of PFPX (1st entry) and FSGRW (2nd entry): PFPX: UM191 RIDAV 100 FL360 359/019 454 12 12.6 / 2.4 01 00:26 -50 456 1664 N4032.1 W00548.5 ...../..... ABLOD 36.000 ft 117 nm 00:16 154° 229°/ 55 kt -45 °C - Sometimes the difference in wind direction seems to be a little high (see the first two waypoints), most of the time it fits quite good. What seems to be also very strange are the altitude jumps in FSGRW flightplan, which is based on the pln file exported from PFPX.
