Finn 873
I have updated the navdata for the PMDG 777 with Navdatapro Airac 1309 r1. While the data for EDDF is Ok for the PMDG 737 NGX: The PMDG 777 gives this error at EDDF, as well as not showing any runways or SID's on the DEP page: Re-installing the Navigraph data version 1309 v2 fixes the issue. n!ke 29
Hello Finn, i can only download R1 Version of NavDataPro. Download and Re-installing dont fix this for me.
Finn 873
Note the fix was Navigraph 1309 v2 not Navdatapro, which is at r1 Finn

Finn 873
Possibly included in the 777 bug list Finn?: PMDG 777 issue tracking thread No - not on the PMDG buglist, but I also think t´s a Navdatapro issue, maybe using a slightly different format than navigraph, since it works ok in the PMDG 737 NGX, but not on the PMDG 777 Finn
Administrator Guenter Zehnel 77 Posted September 6, 2013 Administrator Share Posted September 6, 2013 Hello Finn, it seems the problem occurs in EDDF only. It's under investigation. I hope we can find the reason soon.
Jan-Paul Schuchna 24
It seems that the 777 is checking if all RWYs defined in the SID / STAR file are used in the following procedures or not. If not used, it may give this error message. edit: I previously thought that it should be there if its mentioned in the wpNavAPT.txt, but that does not seem to be the case. So maybe removing RWY36 from the RNW Section in the EDDF.txt does the trick? I cannot test this by myself as I dont own the 777. Jan-Paul
Administrator Guenter Zehnel 77 Posted September 9, 2013 Administrator Share Posted September 9, 2013 Hello Jan-Paul, that's exactly what we found out. It seems the 777 cannot handle RWYs without defined SID/STAR, all other PMDG aircraft doesn't have any problems with this.
GerdD 0
There must be something more wrong with cycle 1309. After update with 777´s data, PAHO has runways numbered 04 + 22. With older cycle 1306 it had 03 + 21 who fits with FSX. At my end this is on all PMDG´s. (747, 737, MD11, 777) Gerd

hud635jk 102
It seems the 777 cannot handle RWYs without defined SID/STAR, So this is a NavDataPro specific problem? And it does not happen with Navigraph?
Galskiman 1
But the point Mr.Zehnel is : Why there is a rwy 36 in the NavDataPro Database for EDDF? EDDF has no rwy 36....only 18 and this rwy is only used in this direction (179°) and only for take off. And the only rwy witout STAR is rwy 18. But the 777 is not moaning about the rwy 18.....And to be honest i don't think that there is a rwy 36 at the NavDataPro database. Otherwise you would see the rwy 36 also at the PMDG 737NGX. So I think there is no problem with the 777 and missing SID/STAR procedures...... And I hope you will investigate once again, there are many people out there using the pmdg 777..... @ hud635jk : Navigraph works for the 777. cheers galskiman
Jan-Paul Schuchna 24
There is indeed a RWY 36 at EDDF. Any RWY has always an opposite RWY. It´s only not used for a procedure in this case. Jan-Paul

Jan-Paul Let`s put it in this way: Every rwy has an opposite direction, thats true. But in this case its not an rwy. There are no rwy 36 markings on the 18 strip. And Navigraph can handel this case for the PMDG 777. So it would be great if NavDataPro can handle this also and don`t blame it to PMDG only. This is the easiest way , but if it is the best way ?? cheers galskiman

It seems the 777 cannot handle RWYs without defined SID/STAR, all other PMDG aircraft doesn't have any problems with this. Sorry for my late replay, but thanks for the explanation. Question is... Is it a Navdatapro issue or a PMDG B777 issue ? In latter case I think PMDG shold be made aware. Finn
hud635jk 102
It seems the 777 cannot handle RWYs without defined SID/STAR, I bought my PMDG 777 a few days ago, and did a flight today to test this. Could it be without defined SID/STAR AND without ANY approaches defined? Because I did a flight between PTSA -> PKMJ. Both airports have no SIDs/STARs. They only have RNAV approaches. Flight proceeded normally with NavDataPro 1309.
Galskiman 1
Tested the new circle 1310 and the iusse is gone....no message from the FMC about missing rwy 36 at EDDF cheers galskiman

Galskiman 1
Are you using the cold and dark panel status ? If yes, then try to load the T7 with the long haul panel status as default. Normaly i use C&D for all my planes, but since i use the long haul status for the T7 some iusses are gone. And T7 pilots confirme that you would not get the T7 normaly in the C&D status. cheers galskiman

You are still asking this in the forum section for Nav Data Pro. Please place your question in the Airbus part of the forum and also create a new thread for it and do not highjack an existing one.
