Trouble with taxing

My first guess is calibration, or possibly "noisy" pots. I don't have any problems. Saitek X52 Pro, CH rudder pedals.

Use the windows controller section to test the hardware to see if it's all stable, then re-calibrate if needed.

I am having a very hard time taxing in a straight line. Using CH yoke and peddles.

Could it be crosswind? The vertical tail plane is pretty large and the wheelbase (front to back) is not very long. This was done so the aircraft could maneuver in small spaces

I am having the same problem, the Aerosoft_DHC6_300_TUNDRA is pulling to the right, both on the ground (taxiing and taking off) and in the air. It's making it very hard to control.

I immediately assumed that my joystick, an MS Sidewinder FF2, needed calibrating! So I calibrated it, but it's still pulling to the right. :(

Notice that there is a noticeable lean to the right.

Check the fuel/load dialog in FSX and see if the CoG image shows the CoG to be on the center line.

... And check if the thrust levers and prop levers are also syncron! Do you use two seperate thrust levers and prop levers (one for each engine/prop)?

I found the problem! It's in the aircraft.cfg under the [weight_and_balance] section. This is what is in my Aerosoft_DHC6_300_TUNDRA aircraft.cfg:

[weight_and_balance]
empty_weight = 6850 // 6850 = Seats Installed, 6500 = Freight
max_gross_weight = 12500
empty_weight_pitch_moi = 18782
empty_weight_roll_moi = 12419
empty_weight_yaw_moi = 31388
empty_weight_coupled_moi = 1600
reference_datum_position = 0.000, 0.000, 0.000
empty_weight_cg_position = -0.730, 0.000, 0.000
max_number_of_stations = 12
station_load.0 = 170.0, 9.27, -1.40, -2.00,
station_load.1 = 170.0, 9.27, 1.40, -2.00,
station_load.2 = 0.0, 5.94, 1.40, -2.00,
station_load.3 = 0.0, 3.44, 1.40, -2.00,
station_load.4 = 0.0, 1.10, 1.40, -2.00,
station_load.5 = 0.0, -1.56, 1.40, -2.00,
station_load.6 = 0.0, -3.98, 1.40, -2.00,
station_load.7 = 0.0, -6.23, 1.40, -2.00,
station_load.8 = 0.0, -8.48, 1.40, -2.00,

station_load.9 = 0.0, 15.10, 0.00, -3.00,
station_load.10 = 0.0, -12.31, 0.00, -3.00,
station_load.11 = 0.0, -15.40, 0.00, -3.00,
station_name.0 = Pilot
station_name.1 = Co-Pilot
station_name.2 = Row 1
station_name.3 = Row 2
station_name.4 = Row 3
station_name.5 = Row 4
station_name.6 = Row 5
station_name.7 = Row 6
station_name.8 = Row 7
station_name.9 = Fwd (200lb)
station_name.10 = Aft (500lb)
station_name.11 = Aft Ext (150lb)

Notice that all of the bold entries are placed at 1.40.

Here it is what is in the Aerosoft_DHC6_300_WHEEL aircraft.cfg:

[WEIGHT_AND_BALANCE]
empty_weight = 6850 // 6850 = Seats Installed, 6500 = Freight
max_gross_weight = 12500
empty_weight_pitch_moi = 18782
empty_weight_roll_moi = 12419
empty_weight_yaw_moi = 31388
empty_weight_coupled_moi = 1600
reference_datum_position = 0.000, 0.000, 0.000
empty_weight_cg_position = -0.730, 0.000, 0.000
max_number_of_stations = 12
station_load.0 = 170.0, 9.27, -1.40, -2.00,
station_load.1 = 170.0, 9.27, 1.40, -2.00,
station_load.2 = 0.0, 5.94, 0.00, -2.00,
station_load.3 = 0.0, 3.44, 0.00, -2.00,
station_load.4 = 0.0, 1.10, 0.00, -2.00,
station_load.5 = 0.0, -1.56, 0.00, -2.00,
station_load.6 = 0.0, -3.98, 0.00, -2.00,
station_load.7 = 0.0, -6.23, 0.00, -2.00,
station_load.8 = 0.0, -8.48, 0.00, -2.00,

station_load.9 = 0.0, 15.10, 0.00, -3.00,
station_load.10 = 0.0, -12.31, 0.00, -3.00,
station_load.11 = 0.0, -15.40, 0.00, -3.00,
station_name.0 = Pilot
station_name.1 = Co-Pilot
station_name.2 = Row 1
station_name.3 = Row 2
station_name.4 = Row 3
station_name.5 = Row 4
station_name.6 = Row 5
station_name.7 = Row 6
station_name.8 = Row 7
station_name.9 = Fwd (200lb)
station_name.10 = Aft (500lb)
station_name.11 = Aft Ext (150lb)

Notice that all the bold entries are 0.00, and not 1.40.

So to fix it, I have just changed the aircraft,cfg for the Aerosoft_DHC6_300_TUNDRA to match the Aerosoft_DHC6_300_WHEEL.

Hope this helps anyone else who might be having this problem.

Thank you very much markoz.

This was driving me nuts, calibrating my controls and still had the issue. I thought that later that is just what a tundra maybe should taxi like with those big wheels.

Finally I can taxi the tundra same as wheeled version.

No worries guys, it was Mathijs who provided the clue here:

Check the fuel/load dialog in FSX and see if the CoG image shows the CoG to be on the center line.

When I first checked on the CoG, It was after I first loaded it into FSX, it didn't have any passengers or cargo, so I thought it was fine.

But it was a different case once I used the AS TwinOtterX FuelPlanner to set it up for a flight!
