REPAINTS NOT SHOWING IN FSX ! HELP Please!

Recommended Posts

I've downloaded the Twin Otter Extended and add it to my fsx directories but I can't see any liveries that I try to add on.

I've unistalled it and do it 2 times already and the same thing happening over and over again.

Also the liveries I've downloaded are not from the Twin Otter X (old) they're from the Twin Otter extended directory on this very same forum.

I would like to start using this aircraft but I don't know what to do anymore please HELP

Thank you

Hi Anthony,

Let's do it step by step.

Can you see the three default liveries of the Twin Otter? Can you load and fly the plane normally?

If so, what did you exactly do to install the liveries?

hello Anthony,

if your liveries are not shown then make sure you have clicked 'show all variation' on below the aircraft selection category

Hello Eric,

Yes for everything.

Let's take for exemple the livery of Winair PJ-WIJ:

I've downloaded the file from the download menu after this I've open the downloaded file copy the texture filie called "texture.PJWIJ" and paste it in my aircraft folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\Aerosoft_DHC6_300_WHEEL) then I went back into my downloaded file and open the how to install file in .text. copy the text log corresponding to the new airaft and paste in the aircraft cfg file which is the aircraft folder and change the xx number to 3. save and closed launch my FSX and check for the aircraft but it's not there I haven't do anything wrong to the normal procedure of adding liveries that I usually do for other aircrafts.

And of course my "show all variation" is selected on.

Yep that has been done long time ago since I've started with FSX to make sure all my new liveries are there, and to select the aircraft I want to fly with.

What you describe is the correct installation procedure.

Did you try different liveries, and all do not show up?

If you are sure that you edited the correct aircraft.cfg I am also at a loss right now.

I hope someone else has a good idea...

I've downloaded them all and none of them is working that's the reason why I've tried to post a topic about this.

Thank you for your kind help, I'm also lost so hopefuly someone will come up with the solution to my problem.

while pasting the text into aircraft.cfg make sure you have not altered the text there because it affects :confused_s:

Maybe you can post your aircraft.cfg here? So we can have a look at it.
