kingboby 0
Hiya, just a quick query. If I pre order the otter extended as a boxed edition, can I access the download so I can fly before September? Thanks Matt
Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4162 Posted July 18, 2013 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted July 18, 2013 No. But why not buying the download version?
kingboby 0
Thanks, as for why I don't buy the download, I will probably Get it now, just a fear of downloads I suppose. Matt
Rafal Haczek 1612
just a fear of downloads Matt, There is no reason to be feared of downloads. That's how I buy 100% of my FS software (and not only). Especially here at the Aerosoft shop all sales are as professional as it can be and of course 100% safe.
Emi 5161
And just to mention it: If you buy a download product once you will of cause be able to redownload it whenever you want and as often as you want.
Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted July 18, 2013 Aerosoft Share Posted July 18, 2013 Matt, while I would be the last to tell you boxed versions are no good (my colleague who runs the boxed department is way larger than I am and he has tattoos) I can assure you that it is safe. Download sales are a matter of confidence, and we pride ourselves by having a 100% clean record in delivery. As far as we know there is not a single customer who paid for a download and did not get the files. And we got tens of thousands of customers. Snave 466
Also, nothing to stop you downloading the file, then burning the whole thing to a CD or DVD if you want. The main difference in the boxed version is the box, and the delivery charge (I'm also large, with tattoos...)

The main difference in the boxed version is the box, and the delivery charge That's just the way I do it! Download it, install it and keep a backup copy (together with a word-document with the software key) on a DVD for the situation of a HDD failure. Yes I know that I could download it again from the shop if that happens but I am obviously an old fashioned guy. On the other hand: Now I have a copy of Twin Otter 1.0 on DVD while 1.01 is already available... So maybe I am somewhat outdated...

Snave 466
The other advantage of burning your own is you can put all your fave repaints alongside, text files for suggested mods or tweaks, even screenshots or videos. And you can use the money you save to get some more ink...

Snave 466
Gotcha Right, so the answer for kingboby's original question must, by implication be... ...only if you're large, with tattoos. Gentlemen, our work here is done
