jspringe 0 Posted July 17, 2013 Share Posted July 17, 2013 In the real (and Aerosoft) checklist there is a step to turn off the Pitot Heat before engine start. But no checklist item to turn pitot heat on? Is this supposed to be done as part of the anti-ice "set as needed"? ANTI-ICE/DEICE CHECKED/SET AS NEEDED The PIC will check that the appropriate and desired ice protection has been selected I am surprised there is no specific step or even mention of the pitot after turning it off.
