antoinersca 2
Hello,I'll maybe purchase the Intel xeon E3 1275 for my computer. Is that a good idea ? If not, wich LGA 1150 intel processor is the best for FSX ?
Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted July 15, 2013 Aerosoft Share Posted July 15, 2013 the XEON is not very suitable. Any core i5 or i7 is a lot more suitable.

Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted July 15, 2013 Aerosoft Share Posted July 15, 2013 Very simple, the most expensive you can afford, performance is linear with price.

gandy 25
Xeon cpu's are expensive because they have Xeon in the name and the E3 1275 is a poor performer based on bench marks. Its slower than an i7 2600K which is a lot cheaper. In the UK you can get the 4770K for about the same price which is a lot faster at stock speeds. http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Xeon+E3-1275+%40+3.40GHz
Virgin America Captain 27
Ok, here's the deal. The xeon processor is targeted to customers with workstations, not pcs in their homes. And not for fsx. Based on price the price of the xeon, you will be most happy with the i7 4770k. In fact you'll get great performance! Remember to overclock. I recommend the Xigmatek Dark Knight II cpu cooler. Trust me, it'll be awesome! What gpu will you get?
