IAS in descent

I don't seem to be able to use IAS mode in descent, it just won't go down. What am I doing wrong?

Perhaps you expect it to work different than in many other AP's?

IAS: Will use pitch to hold the indicated airspeed present when the IAS button was pressed. Increasing power will increase rate of climb, while decreasing power will decrease rate of climb. IAS mode can be used for both climb and descend.

IAS: Uses pitch to hold the indicated airspeed present when the IAS button was pressed: Increasing power will initiate or increase rate of climb. Decreasing power will initiate or increase rate of descent. IAS mode may therefore be used for both climb and descent.
