What happens when you cross north pole in FSX

I was playing around a little, trying to cross the north pole in FSX.
When you get to it your FS starts acting all weird, textures get messed up in a funny way, and camera rotates 360°.
Here's a raw unedited shot straight from FSX (I got to the north pole by slew mode). Notice time of day, 1PM (FSX simulates "polar nights")

Dome lights were turned on (using the "old" Airbus X A320/321 textures)

Pretty funny!

That is pretty wild! There was some really really interesting conversations in the forums when Antarctica X was being developed and released, basically explaining how the globe in FSX is actually made, and the limitations those methods have created. For instance, page 13 and 14 of the Antarctica X explains and sums this up really well as to why they did not, and effectively could not, add the South Pole station: http://www.aerosoft2.de/downloads/antarcticax/Manual-AntarcticaX-Short.pdf

Yep, that's pretty amazing!
To be honest, it shows that Microsoft actually modeled the different latitudes and magnetic deviation. Typically, they didn't fix the bugs which appeared, but that's Microsoft in the end. Hehe.
