exploreall 5 Posted March 21, 2006 Share Posted March 21, 2006 Hi there Just got around to installing the latest beaver update During loading FS9 an error message is shown as follows DHC-2A Amphibian Private Aircraft initialisation failure After clicking OK on this error message FS9 then stops loading and is not able to be used I have looked at the config files but cant see anything wrong Please advise Regards Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Shaun Fletcher 570 Posted March 21, 2006 Share Posted March 21, 2006 Hello exploreall, This will happen if your startup flight used this plane and the name got changed, as the title was changed FS9 can no longer find it. There are a few solutions you can use to change the flight, you could edit the Situation line in the fs9.cfg to a known working flight. You could remove the FS9.cfg completely and let FS9 rewrite a new one on restart with all default settings. Or you could go to your documents flights folder and select a .FLT file and then select the "Open With" and then browse to your FS9.exe and start it that way, once in that way you can change the default startup situation.
