Checklist - Flight Controls

Just after pushback the checklist goes through a number of checks and reaches the one for flight controls.

It requests left, right, up and down then moves onto the rudder left and right with neutral checks ibetween each action.

When going through these checks yesterday (with the co-pilot switched on) I noticed that after left rudder the ECAM which gives visuals of each check switched momentarliy from F/Ctrl to Wheel and then back to F/Ctrl for the final check.

Is this a flaw in the logic or something the real A320 software is designed to do and if so why does it only do it at the final check?

The wheel page is the default page in that flight phase. It changes automatically to the F/CTRL page when the flight controls are moved. A fews seconds after the movement has stopped the page automatically returns to wheels.

I guess you paused on your flight controls check, thereby make the page return to wheels before continuing your controls check.

You see the same thing happening while taxiing, with the pages switching every time you use the rudder pedals and switching back a few seconds later.
