Problems installing and Starting the CBS Munich

Hello,

Run the CBS Munich Installer as Admin. In the Progress, there appears a Message, that C++2005 Redistributable X86 could notbe installed.

Clicking the OK-Key sometimes, the Message disappears and the Installer stated, that CBS is installed.

Starting the Game as Admin.it gives a Message like this mentioned in this Topic http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/56779-cant-start-cbs-2012/

Also installed the Update CBS V1.21, but CBS is still crashing.

Maybe, somone could solve this Problem.

Infos:

Downloaded the Installer from the European Server. Installed as german Version.

OS: Win 8 Pro x64 German

CPU: Intel I7-3770

Board: MSI-Z77

Ram: 16GB

Grafik: EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 560Ti

Treiber: Nvidia 9.18.13.697

If you need further Information, please let me know.

Greetings

Joachim

Meanwhile, i installed the Supportfiles in the CBS-Directory. No Success. De- and Reinstalled all those Visual C++ 2005 and 2008 Files. Reinstalled as Admin, No Success.

Also installed the Game as Admin in Windows7 Compatibility Mode. No Success.

Redownload the Package from the US Server and installed it. no Success.

So, what else can i do?

Hey Shaun,

thx for your soon Response.

After Hours of painful Trial and Error Work, i am not successful. Here is, what i did.

1. Downloaded all the C++ Redistributables from the Link, you have posted above.

2. Uninstall CBS Munich

3. Uninstall all those C++ Packages x86 and x64 in System Control.

4. Cleaning up the Registry

5. Shutdown the PC and started it new.

6. Install the C++ Files, downloaded before for x86 and x64.

7. Installed the CBS Munich as Admin in a Location on Drive D: Install works fine without any Failures

8. Run CBS as Admin

After Start appears the enclosed Picture b1.jpg

Clicking the OK Button, leads to Picture b2.jpg

9. Tried the Clean Boot Workflow as described in the Microsoft KB-Article. Also without Success.

The Picture b3.jpg shows all the Visual C++ Redistributables actually installed on my PC.

Do you see anything, that is wrong or missing with those Files?

If not, what else can i do, to get CBS Munich run?

Greetings

Joachim

Hello Shaun,

as written above, i installed it in Win7 Compatibility Mode without Success.

Yes, the Direct X 9c Files are successfully installed.

I will try now other Compatibility Modes. Maybe there are several Activations necessary.

Could you please Reset my Activation Counter? Thank you.

Hi Shaun,

here is my Report of the Work for the last two Days.

Uninstalled CBS and Cleaning up the Registry

Installed in Win 7, Win Vista SP2 and Win XP Mode.

Installer works fine without XP Mode. Installer freezes very eraly in the Progress without any Reason.

Installed in Normal Win8 Mode. Again, the Installer works fine.

Starting in Admin Mode and in all different Compatibility Modes Win8 offers.

All this Hours of Working without any Success. All Tries results in the Failed to initialize Engine Error.

Anything else, that i can do?

Greetings

Joachim
