G-BOVY 10
Hi Hanse, Not sure if anyone has reported this but, during the After Start Checklist, when the trim wheel is set the automatic calls stop unless the trim wheel is moved forwards or backwards. Once moved the checklist continues on to to flight controls. FYI I'm using AXE 1.04. Hope this helps you Cheers Rob
Max Reverse 344
Hi Rob, thats exactly the way it should be. You have to set your TrimWheel, or let it set by your CO, to the correct numbers.
G-BOVY 10
Hey Werner, Thanks for your post. I probably should have made it clearer, when running auto checklist (CAPT/FO) it hangs at that point. Just tired it again, this time it worked without having to manually set trim to trigger a continuation of checklist, so appears to be intermittent. d_mitri 6
Mine does this also. In order to move the checklist along I sometimes go to "Flaps 1" manually and it will continue. Hope this gets looked at for future updates.
Deputy Sheriffs Hanse 216 Posted February 3, 2013 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted February 3, 2013 Hi all, I have some questions in this respect to indentify / reproduce the problem: Does this happen only if you want to set manually the PITCH TRIM (i.e. without copilot)? Because if the Copilot is ON he sets the value according to the THS value (MCDU – PERF - TO page) p.e. for flaps 1 = "UP0.8"If you want to set it manually: What value are you using and is it identical with the THS value on the MCDU - PERF - TO page? G-BOVY 10
Hey Hanse, I'm using the Copilot functionality, so for me on occasion (doesn't happen all the time) the call is made but the trim is not set, thus 'hanging' the checklist. Moving the wheel up or down around the position loaded in MCDU after the repeated call seems to stimulate a response from the Captain, and the checklist moves on to Flight Controls. FYI I've not tried this without the Copilot. I'll check it again this afternoon. Brgds Rob
Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4161 Posted February 3, 2013 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted February 3, 2013 Experienced the same yesterday on one of my 3 flights, all with Copilot set to "on".
G-BOVY 10
Hi Hanse, Just watched what happens when the checklist hangs. At the point the checklist hits the trim wheel setting, if the trim setting has a higher value than the value entered in MCDU then the checklist hangs, and with a lower setting the checklist runs normally. Where the value on the trim wheel is higher than the MCDU setting, manual intervention appears to resolve the problem, but only if the trim is manually set to a lower setting than that entered in MCDU. E.g. MCDU value DN1.1 trim wheel set to DN1.2 checklist continues to hang. Anything less than DN1.1 and the checklist runs as normal, with Copilot adjusting setting to DN1.1. Note: This is what I've seen however, it may be different for others? Question: What's drives the generic setting before the value is adjusted by the Copilot? Deputy Sheriffs Hanse 216 Posted February 8, 2013 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted February 8, 2013 Hi Rob, we could reproduce the problem. It happens only if the TRIM position is far away from the setpoint. Then it can happen that the copilot "overrode" the trim position (because he wanted to do it fast to shorten the procedure) and it froze. Problem will be solved with the next hotfix.....
