SquadronLeader52 12
I know that pilots in the real world have to programme in their flight plans and that this is being recreated in Airbus X. I have followed the step by step tutorial EDDF-LOWW and that worked fine. When I then use online databases to establish a route from EGGW-EGPH, I cannot get the correct flight plan entered, even though I am trying to follow same process as in the tutorial. My flight plan from routefinder is as follows EGGW (0.0nm) -SID-> CPT (39.2nm) -UQ295-> BPK (83.4nm) -UN601-> POTON (106.8nm) -UN601-> BEDFO (116.6nm) -UN601-> EBOTO (126.0nm) -UN601-> PIPIN (143.6nm) -UN601-> LESTA (152.7nm) -UN601-> ROBIN (168.4nm) -UN601-> DISAL (191.5nm) -UN601-> BOLBI (203.8nm) -UN601-> POL (223.4nm) -UN601-> RIBEL (241.1nm) -UN601-> SHAPP (272.4nm) -UN601-> MARGO (285.9nm) -STAR-> EGPH (363.3nm) I have entered CPT as my SID, and then when I select Airways and enter UQ295 - I get an error saying there is a mismatch. Would be appreciative of any help as I really want to get a hang on this.
Adrijan 193
Woah, you don't have to enter such a large flight plan. Actually you have to enter this EGGW SID CPT UQ295 BPK UN601 MARGO STAR EGPH, and you would get the route above. I have no idea why does it say that there is a mismatch, I tried it and it worked perfectly. Could you say exactly what you were doing?
cbd80 258
Hi. I have just tried it too and it works fine. Perhaps you could provide a screenshot when you see the error message? I assume after entering the SID you scrolled down the flight plan to CPT and from there entered the 'Lateral Revision' selecting 'UQ295' as the 'VIA' and 'BPK' as the 'TO' for the Airway? SquadronLeader52 12
Many thanks for your responses - here are some screenshots showing the sequence I have been using. I am sure I must be making some simple error. By the way I am using P3D and Windows

Adrijan 193
Looks like you put airways from the airport, rather than last SID waypoint (CPT)...
SquadronLeader52 12
Guys Thank you so much for your help - with your comments and advise - I have managed to solve it - now I just need a lot more practice!!!
stt4 8
For those not accustomed to this procedure, as Adrijan Pekovic pointed out the shortened route to enter into the MCDU, these shortened routes can be found at the final line at the bottom of the webpage of your route in RouteFinder. For example, the route EGGW SID CPT UQ295 BPK UN601 MARGO STAR EGPH, after selecting the SID and pressing INSERT, enter the first waypoint CPT and press on F-PLAN DISCONTIUITY, press on CPT and then press on Airways, then enter the airway UQ295 in VIA, on the same page enter the waypoint BPK in TO, then enter airway UN601 in VIA, then enter waypoint MARGO in TO, then press INSERT, press EGPH and choose the STAR then press INSERT, press CLR and press FLIGHT PLAN DISCONTIUITY. You will notice the other waypoints have been entered automatically.
