Heraklion X frame rate manager tool

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I would like to know what would be the best parts of the scenery to de-activate in the manager tool like "Parking vehicles 1".. and others to get higher frame rate, or the main things on the scenery that has the most impact on frame rate. I get 15-20 fps when taxiing.

Btw great scenery.

Thanks.

Well that depends on many things.

For example, if you just want to fly around on light aircraft, I would expect no problems at all with everything activated.

If you fly on a heavier jet however you can try a few things. First, try using normal scenery density. Next, you can start by de-activating Parking Vehicles1 and also Military vehicles, and animated birds perhaps.

Now, an extra step to consider is de-activating parts of the town from the scenery manager. Area1 and Extreme density options would be a good start to de-activate on your scenery manager tool. If you are approaching from RW27 which is the most common way to land LGIR, then the absence of Area1 and Extreme density will not be a visual problem.

Hope this helps.

Alright thanks alot, I will try some changes and see what happens. I'm using the default 737-800.

I agree with the water 'tweaking' . But you do have really low your fps for a default FS aircraft.

Are you using the recommended settings?

Or is it just older hardware?

My hardware isn't that old, but I will try some changes with the water effects and see what I get with it.

  • 3 weeks later...

And if you have light bloom enabled, you should deactivate it....Its an FPS eater!
