Because it uses a FBW system people assume the airbus us flown with just tiny movements or even with a force sensing controller. But actually an Airbus is flown with rather big movements, sometimes even to the limit of movement. Keep in mind that there is no direct connection between the side stick and the control surfaces, even if you keep the controller full to one side continuously the aircraft will only to the max allowed bank angle and stabilize there. To show how much input is given during landin, check this out: We advise you to set the controls with high sensitivity and small null zone and make sure you calibrate them once a month.
