Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted July 23, 2012 Aerosoft Share Posted July 23, 2012 Peter are there any options (tweaks) to get the water effects a bit toned down by now? While it looks impressive it's like there is a hurricane going on all the time,
petermcleland 96
I'm not sure about that Mathijs...I find the water looks about right for a Force 3 wind...With a Force 4 there are many rather than a few white caps. As for a Hurricane 12...well I've never seen one but I have sailed in a Force 9 and I assure you the sea looked nothing like these shots. I have all my sliders at max, but I don't think any of them control the sea state BTW the water looks MOST realistic when you are very close to it or on it...It looks LEAST realistic when you are at altitude. This is a visual scaling error really. The wave size does not decrease enough as you move away from the surface.

Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted July 25, 2012 Aerosoft Share Posted July 25, 2012 Not saying it does not look nice, but I do think FSX/P3D got nothing to be worried about. That's Dutch Harbor. I grant you, a small area compared to what FLIGHT got but then again, FSX already had Alaska.
