William G 11 Posted February 13, 2012 Share Posted February 13, 2012 I knew I needed an afternoon of nothing but bootleg Grateful Dead concert recordings when I found my daughters Backyardigans music replaying in my head. I decided to do something useful, but not too useful, while resetting my personal inner soundtrack. I did some tests and made a chart showing fuel flow in lbs/hr vs torque. I also made a graph to help when deciding whether adding more power is worth the increased fuel flow. I added some figures that are nice to have by the keyboard during a flight without refering back to the manual or checklist as well. All weights and fuel quantities are from the FSX load manager. I chose 700- 1500 ft lbs because at 700 it really starts to hang on the prop and much over 1500 is getting towards the Mil power range as far as temperature goes Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
