ebksb123 99 Posted February 9, 2012 Share Posted February 9, 2012 In my opinion this is too much for FSX. - FSX runs about as smooth with the i7 2600k as with your expensive 6 Core CPU! - 16GB is way too much, 12GB should or even 8 should do it! - Take a GTX 580, it's as fast as the 590 or even faster, because it's a single chip GPU. - If you change your system like this, you'll need no more than 700W. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yes you always pay a lot for the last few fps. But it is a superb system for FSX and if you decided to check out X-Plane you will see that it just loves all those cores.
