My new PC for FSX and FS2004

Hello all simmers!

What do you think about my new PC for FSX and FS2004?

1 x Asus 2011 P9X79

1 x Processor Intel® Core i7-3930K 3.2GHz

2 x RAM DDR3 8GB KIT (2x 4GB) 1600MHz Kingston KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX

1 x HD 120GB SSD SATA3, Intel 520 series - for WIN7 64bit

1 x HD 3.5" 1TB 7200 64MB Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 - for FS2004

1 x HD SSD 250GB 2.5" SATA3 Intel 510 box - for FSX

1 x DVD-RW NEC/Optiarc AD-7280S, 24x SATA

1 x GeForce GTX 590 3072MB GDDR5 Gigabyte, PCIe

1 x 1000W Chieftec APS-1000C

4 x 120x120mm, Xilence Silent, 21dB

2 x Xilence Silent, 19dB

1 x Creative SB X-Fi sound Titanium PCIe

ATX Chieftec CH-08 (CH-08B-B-OP)

In my opinion this is too much for FSX.

- FSX runs about as smooth with the i7 2600k as with your expensive 6 Core CPU!

- 16GB is way too much, 12GB should or even 8 should do it!

- Take a GTX 580, it's as fast as the 590 or even faster, because it's a single chip GPU.

- If you change your system like this, you'll need no more than 700W.

Yes you always pay a lot for the last few fps. But it is a superb system for FSX and if you decided to check out X-Plane you will see that it just loves all those cores.
