ATR 72 for X-Plane 10 (product released topic closed)

Lol.. big lol... As far as I know there is no FSX version planned.

I asked McPhat Studios about a FSX version, they said if they can find FSX programmers and a publisher they would make it FSX compatible, but first priority is X-Plane.

I was honestly expecting a bit more in systems area, but I guess I am not the core market group... Looks great anyway,

Try doing that and keepingt your pilots license!

If I were a tespilot... :) in a Boeing I think anyway I would have a bigger problem. Those props can get around the stopping program, not so much jets...

Hey! Why are you calling me the Majority? :)

This is DAMN nice news. Though - one thing springs to mind. "Flight Management System (X-Plane default FMS)"

"

I would really wish that the "new" members of developers to Xplane would invest some time in programming real FMS systems.

This is the only thing missing in the otherwise good planes in Xplane. Jrollon's CRJ200 is getting there though :bow_down2_s:

I would advice not to program the upcoming ATR72 with GIZMO plugin (unless it is not compatible with SASL) then the user is able to use the KLN90B GPS/FMS freeware which is very good. As it is based on SASL it will not work with GIZMO plugin planes. I know that Dennis Prüfer the author of the KLN90B was thinking to make a 3D object of this device to build it into a 3D cockpit. The database can be updated through navigraph.

Actually you see this KLN90B in the ATR72 landing video on this page. If somebody is interested to get the mail address of dennis to ask for a 3D object of the KLN90B feel free to contact me - but only companies who would have it to build it into their planes no private pilots how just want to have it!

The KLN90B freeware you find here: http://www.eadt.eu/index.php?kln90b

Hi Mathijs,

did you already ask whether the ATR will be compatible with the UFMC?

Best regards

Kai

As long McPhat really uses the default FMC (which is crab) the UFMC will work as long as you have a correct ATR72 configuration file for the UFMC!

Better idea, I wrote it above, McPhat should use the KLN90B which is very often used in the ATR72 - this GPS/FMC is very correct, can be updated with navigraph and it is real fun to fly with it - it tells you a lot - but the pilot has to fly!

Cheers Tom

After FlightOne beautyfull software for FS2004 (at its realised date! 2004 near 8 years now), this new title brings a breath of fresh air, with its new textures and detail systems. So, pay attention of F1 users which are waiting for you a high quality system.

I'm glad to have the last XP10 and to experiment this add-on with! Can't wait! :groupflip_s:

Aerosoft + X-plane is a dream come true, not all vendors have the same sens of buisness..

This aircraft is by far the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen created to X-plane, hopefully will see an fully working 737NG which by the way is the only thing missing in the sim.

Keep airports coming plz,

PS.. Is there any chance that Aerosoft could convert the old Scandinavian Packaged to X-plane as an update or sale item? No airports are made in Norway for X-plane

There are plenty of Norwiegen airports on the .org http://forums.x-plane.org/

A couple are average MSFS but many are pretty good as well...certainly not the Aerosoft quality area but still very usable...FT56

Let us see what happens really - I had some discussions with MCPat Studios about this ATR72. And to be honest I am quite disappointed about what they are going to release. Yes it will look very nice really no question but do not expect a system depth like you have in the Flight One ATR72 for MSFS - most of the important systems are only xplane default systems like the autopilot and the FMC (which is very poor in XP) - even this default systems are quite ok for a game they are far behind what is already possible and what a modern model for xplane of a very modern turboprop should have.

About the UFMC it should work with a good config file - but you have to expect errors cause it is not build for those planes with no auto throttle systems. Javier build it for airliner jets.

This is something we have in XP for a while now good looking planes but only default inside. Of course there are others like the CRJ, the Peter Hager Airbusses, the Carenado GA, the Pilatus PC12 - so I myself will look for the PMDG NGX which should come out for XP....

Hi Tom,

IF there will be a PMDG NGX for X-Plane it will take at least two years from now until it will be released. PMDG will have to do it from scratch and they have no experience in XP and the market is still quite small.

If you want full system modelling in an airliner you should have a look at the IXEG 737 classic project. Looks like they will do it all.

PS: I guess the XP-market is still too small compared to FSX to justify large investments into system-heavy PMDG-like airliners.
