DFS has been very quiet since the completetion of EHAM.

I'll be honest, after all the complaints that I have read about their EHAM scenery regarding performance and such, I would be pretty hesitant to buy an airport from them unless there is an overwhelming amount of good reviews saying that the FPS are good. I still haven't bough EHAM and probably never will due to the bad performance but there is no way I will touch FCO if I read the same feedback that EHAM got.

It will be great to have FCO to a good standard. It's one of the few Jet2.com destinations that I don't have in the sim yet. I just hope It doesn't include the awful handling and ATC services you receive there ;)

As it's in Italy the standard FSX ATC would probably be "as real as it get's"!!! excuse the catchphrase :)

I thought in the same way and hesitated to buy EHAM for FSX for a long time. But in the end I buyed it and was very surprised, that the frames are not lower than other european mega-airports (like Heathrow or Paris CDG or Munich). But I have to admit that i use EHAM with the NL2000 freeware of Netherlald. And that is photo-texture with very few autogen. But that doesn't matter, coz texture resolution is so good that you don't need autogen really.

Indeed the fps for their products are not as bad as some report them to be. Even without NL2000 EHAM runs quite smooth here and I think that'll be the same with LIRF. In fact in FS2004 I got more fps on Aerosoft Mega Airport Amsterdam than on Cloud9 Amsterdam.

Good to know guys. Maybe I will give it another look when it goes on sale at some point. It's just one of those products that after you read so many bad reviews about it make you really hesitant to purchase, especially considering there is no trial version or refund available if it doesn't work to your satisfaction.
