Jaap K. 43
Fly lower or fly faster. For every 1000 feet of altitude the temperature drops 2 degrees Celsius. Inversely, when you descend the temperature will increase. Flying faster will also increase the temperature of the aircraft. Air friction at normal flying speeds will warm an aircraft to some 15 to 20 degrees Celsius above the temparature of the surrounding air. Increasing the Mach number by a few hundreths will raise the temperature by a few degrees.
