Rainy weather

When it's raining outside, I can't see through the canopy all I can see is a pale blue canopy. I tried the Flight1 fix suggested on this forum, but still have it. Also if I turn on Direct X 10 all the Katanas are totally white... Katana DA-20 X on FSX

The KatanaX is DX10 compliant, AND has no glass complications in rain.

Please show screenshot of the VC as i suspect you are talking about a previous product.

And you might want to add full system specifications too, just to make sure we don't have to guess. Santa may come down your chimney and fix things magically, but we don't have magic reindeer.

The first 2 shots are with DirectX 10 enabled. The rest have it disabled and show what happens in rain, looking from the outside the canopy is clear but from inside it's pale blue.

sorry but you seem to have a different Katana version than I have. Are you sure yours is for FSX?

  • 3 weeks later...

Coincidentally, I was looking for a solution for this as well...I also just bought the old Katana DA20-100 a few months back ...I didn't even know they had a Katana 4X until after I bought it...

So, the rain issue also happened with my CLS airbus 330/340, and I found this post that talks about some planes not being compatible with FSX sp2 due to the formatting of the bmps involved...

post: http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtopic.php?t=39506

and there is a fix for this that converts the bmps to the correct format...it fixed my planes that had the blue windshield during rain:

Hope the OP comes back and reads this!

Cheers
