Guest GoncaloCarvalhoPT
Hi everyone, I'm the second mate posting on this new page of X-Plane 10. I already use the version 10.01B ... actually 10.02B ... but I have a graphics problem with both versions. I send my concern about this issue to Laminar Research but no answer. So I'm asking for help because I'm gonna be a user of the Aerosoft X-Plane 10 version next year. Talking about the problem, the pictures I attached to this topic talks against me I also attached my DXDiag report with more information to solve this kind of errors. Please aeroSOFT, can you guys give an advice or a solution to this problem. I just want to fly on a simulator without bugs, errors, crashes ... you know ... Every software and hardware is also updated with the last drivers. woweezowee 1
Hi! I think as Laminar are working on bugs right now it would be better to send the info directly to them. See here: http://www.x-plane.com/blog/2011/11/where-to-get-help-where-to-file-bugs/
Guest GoncaloCarvalhoPT
I also send to this page: http://www.x-plane.c...e-to-file-bugs/ but no answer as I said on my first post of this page ... but thanks anyway ...
Guest GoncaloCarvalhoPT
Still no answer from Laminar Research .... LR has the worst support ever ..... I hope Aerosoft solve this problem with them new version .... and continue with this good support for customer

Hi Gonçalo, If you have used that page you have probably also read this paragraph: If you file a bug an do not hear back from us immediately, please be patient; I am back-logged with reports right now, so if it is going to my part of the code, it’ll be a bit of a wait. And so far you have been running a free demo beta only

Deputy Sheriffs Eric Bakker 736 Posted December 6, 2011 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted December 6, 2011 Have you read this page? http://www.x-plane.com/blog/ And especially this section below, posted last week? Compatibility With Graphic Cards I’ll try to post on-going status updates with regards to graphics card support; I’ve posted achart on the wiki. If you have gotten one of the cards for which the status is “unknown” to work, please post a comment. The two cases that I believe we have fixed for the 10.02 patch are Intel HD integrated graphics and Radeon X1000 series GPUs – both were not functioning due to bugs in X-Plane (which were revealed by the particular capabilities of these cards). I was surprised by how many reports of Intel HD graphics crashes we got but in hind sight it makes sense: everyone with a Core i3/i5/i7 chip has one of these GPUs, since it is built into the chip. In some cases, users were running on the Intel GPU despite also having a real GPU, so even with the crash fix, those users will need to figure out how to change their default GPU. (For a desktop this is usual a BIOS operation – for a laptop it’s usually black magic.) I still have at least six different GPU crash cases that I am investigating, so there’s a lot of compatibility work to do. The other major compatibility problem I am hearing about is just a slew of reports of weirdstuff with NVidia GeForce cards. Graphic artifacts, hangs, screen corruption, two copies of the app – you name it. It’s going to take a while to figure out what’s going on. flightime56 1
This is not a Aerosoft issue, so why is this here at all...? Ben Supnik (Laminar) is working through the issues, and you are not even running the latest version 10.03 beta 1 which fixes a majority of the bugs, just be patient and all will be working correctly soon,

Guest GoncaloCarvalhoPT
Hi, I don't know if you solved you problem already but here you can find the solution http://www.x-plane.c...vidia-artifact/ Halo Velin, I already saw the solution on this topic: http://www.x-plane.c...vidia-artifact/. The first time I played the demo version 10.00b, I don't use AA, filtering and Ansiotropic from X-Plane 10 because to earn more FPS I use the ATI CCC and override application settings. And with this settings I can play X-Plane 10 at 50-60 FPS. But using the settings of X-Plane 10 I only had 10-20 FPS Now I am using 10.03b and this bug still continuing after I adviced Laminar Research ... Ah one point: On blog he only talk about Nvidia cards and no ATI. Why? The problem is with both GPUs!!! Yeah and the solution is: USE SETTINGS ONLY FROM X-PLANE 10 APP AT 10-20 FPS. And are you happy with this? I'm not ... and to answer flightime56 user I post this bug on this forum because I am gonna be a customer of Aerosoft X-Plane 10 version, I already order it. Guest GoncaloCarvalhoPT
I also use ATI (HD 6950) and I don't have that artifacts problem. I tried overriding the AA settings from CCC and didn't see any diference in fps. Mine are always 15-30 with settings nearly maxed up when being around KSEA. My Video Card is an ATI Radeon HD 6970 2048MB. So what's wrong? 15-30 is good but overriding my settings I can reach 55 FPS and in some areas 60 what is very good for a beta version. All I know is with 10.00b everything is ok and with 10.02b ... we have a problem. I can guarantee to aeroSOFT that version will be sell by them I hope that Sim doesn't have bugs as beta from Laminar Research. If I can reach 60 FPS why I would be happy only with 30 FPS ? If you only can reach 15-30 FPS do you had selected "HDR" option???
Velin 0
Yes, those fps are with HDR on. If I set it to off my fps are 30 average with a min of 20 fps and max 30 to 60 depending on the water reflection detail. As I said before I try to set all the settings the highest possible and I personally think that HDR is a must because it enables the global lighting. But in my case forcing the AA from CCC doesn't make any difference. About you problem I don't know what could be causing it you can try to update x-plane to beta 4 that got released today and also update you Radeon drivers if you haven't done that already. The last version is 11.12.

Why Laminar Research or Austin doesn't make the option to the user like Microsoft did to FSX users(and others studios)? I'll explain: If you can choose what option is better for you: ATI/NVidia CCC or XP10 settings? That could help But like I said I can earn more FPS (50-60) with no HDR (FPS Killer like FSX Light Boom) than with XP10 settings. And one point of view: XP range menu is a little bit confuse ... Guest GoncaloCarvalhoPT
Hi folks, 10.03b5 is out but still with major bugs. See the images: After and after each update launched by X-Plane team is worst and worst but they solve an issue who was boring me: Now you can use ATI/NVidia CCC instead X-Plane 10 settings .... I have two doubts: 1st) If I choose to turn on "HDR" the airplane as some strange figures on engines. Have a look: But if I turn off that figures disappear: Finally, the effect on engines is a "real thing" but I don't know how to turn on: Thanks for you help!!! Deputy Sheriffs Eric Bakker 736 Posted December 19, 2011 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted December 19, 2011 Hi Gonçalo, I am not a developer, I am just a user like you. The only advice I can give is that you should not start with all settings at max. Start at moderate levels, no HDR, and experiment by increasing the settings one at a time and test what it does with your system. This way you can maybe find if there is a specific setting that causes your disappointment in fps. Please note that at this point in time no PC can run XP10 with all settings at maximum. swantee 6
It seems Goncalo 'Wants his Cake' & a 'Doggy bag full of extras' to take home. Firstly X-Plane have one of the best and most helpful forums I have visited because it is dedicated to just one Sim although it's 'Stock Advisors' are familiar with Multi Flight Sims. <http://forums.x-plane.org> I cannot understand Goncarlo's obsession with having to fly at 60fps with everything turned up full---It would be more advisable to start believing in 'Santa Claus' again and write to him. X-Plane v10 is a beast of a program with more to offer than the average computer or graphics card can handle when run at half steam let alone bang out! It would be advisable to listen to the 'Repeated' advice above & turn down all your options to minimum and slowly edge them up-one by one. (That or borrow a Computer from NASA) I fly quite happily with most options set to Max at 23-45fps but can spend a lot of time at 43-73fps depending on situations-the former are the most common It has been constantly emphasised that HDR hammers fps as does the new and intricate scenery & weather so try building up everything else with these switched down and/or off. Check your Shadow Detail and keep it around Overlay whilst you tweak the rest. Most important of all do not get angry with Laminar or v10- they only provide what I believe to be an excellent Flight Sim (Feasibly the best on the market-remember it is a Simulator & not a Game)which has the ability to be User/Computer/Graphics card adjustable-they do not provide the computer & your first post problem screenshots are I think more Computer/Graphics card than X-Plane related Spec.
