shannanl 0 Posted December 2, 2011 Share Posted December 2, 2011 On Monday I purchased the Megascenery SoCal scenery from Aerosoft's download shop. I was provided a link that listed the 11 links to the download. Over the next 24 hours I tried to download the data only to have the downloads fail after anywhere from 20 - 98 %. I tried a download manager, free download manager, which helped a little. It is now Thursday night and I have only managed to download 4 of the 11 files. I tried downloading from another ISP, one that has a 100 meg connection to the backbone and had the same issue. Tuesday night I sent an email to info@aerosoft.com and asked that they refund my money or ship me the boxed set. I explained the issues I was having. I have not received a reply. I am very frustrated. Needless to say I will not do business with Aerosoft again if this is what i can expect. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do before I call my credit card company and file a dispute? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Huascar 5 Posted December 2, 2011 Share Posted December 2, 2011 If you read my post (below), I had a similar problem and instead of getting assistance, I was ridiculed by Mopperle. Try to ping Shaun, he is the only one willing to help. I would create a clean folder, download the files in this folder, extract the files in this this folder and hopefully the it will automatically ask you to select the next file. It looks like you are having a problem downloading the files which requires the support team to help you. Good luck mate. Let me know if I can help. So far, after 4 days of failed downloads, I have managed to download only 4 of the 11 items. My sense is that the file may be too much for the speed of your internet to handle but other here should chime in and assist Shannal, especially support. Support - Have you seen this problem before? Your provider is not directly connected to Aerosoft. From which country/City are you downloading? - another problem could be a virus scanner, scanning the downloaded file in the background, slowing down the speed. - What scenery did you try to download? I bought a download manager, reload downolad page and paste new address, but i can't complete antarctica download, that stops at 50%. I'm just a little bit boring. Maybe we have just three choices, at this point: 1) refund; 2) send me dvd version; 3) split your monster file in three or four parts. I'll wait for an aswer. Thank you. And it is not the largest file we sell by far. It just seems your connection is not very stable or could it be that you are running low on disk space. With a download manager it should be always simple to resume the download, which one did you buy and what excactly is shown when it stops? Is there an error message? Does it time-out?
