I made the mistake of selecting Take-off mode when still at the hold before take-off, and didn't set V1 etc.. so got lambasted for the take-off.... we live and learn.

Yea Ian.. That was truly odd... :eyepop_s:

You're telling me! Made the approach very difficult. But that's what the supposed real-time weather was giving me, so who am I to argue? it's all about dealing with whatever FS throws at you, after all :D

That's leg 5 done now. Here we are in Cox's Bazaar... odd name. It wasn't snowing in Myanmar any more - but it did rain for a while, then abruptly dried up as the weather engine caught up. Nice flight but some Clear Air Turbulence on the way, and a minor problem with fuel starvation of the engines as the crossfeed switch had somehow been set on when it shouldn't have. Had to do a mid-air restart, but OK in the end. The airspeed too low warning was due to that fuel problem...as for the nose too low bit - it was a perfect 3-point touchdown from what I saw on the replay :D

Next leg is Lukla, the tough one. Haven't had a lot of practice in the Twotter, and none at the airfield, so promises to be an interesting trip. I'm a bit worried about frame rates on my PC though with the Lukla scenery and the Twotter model. Hopefully it won't be too much of a slideshow.

OK, I admit it, I crashed and burned at Lukla first time round. Second time wasn't much better, but at least I got on the ground! No score, but a learning experience! One odd thing - the runway is grey until the upward slope, then it goes to a green badly-fuzzed photographic finish, then grey again at the end by the numbers. Makes me think something didn't intall quite right.

Edit: I just checked the screenshot I posted when I first installed Lukla and the Twotter, and the runway on there looks fine. Something odd has happened since the first load.

Tweaked my scenery settings and Lukla looked fine again. So, just enough to down a glass of Yak's milk and it's off Kathmandu. I thought it was a bit harsh marking me down for the drop off the end of the runway at Lukla. A good landing, but marked down on the flight.

lol, i dont think there's anyone who hasnt crashed there when landing for the 1st time :D

About Lukla looking funny, thats a common problem. It only happens when you fly to Lukla from a certian distance away from it.

To cure it open the scenery library, and click ok without changing anything, to force a scenery reload.

Blue skies :)

So here we are in Nagpur. A very quiet trip with, I have to say, very uninteresting landscape. I'm sure I heard Miss Aviatrix snoring beside me on the way. A very high landing score this time, but not so good a flight score - the high-g she was complaining about was turbulence - nothing to do with me!

WOW! And here I was thinking my 169 was insane! Ian, you rocked that landing!

Congratulations man! :excellenttext_s:

It's a fluke, I doubt I'll do it again. What annoys me is that then points that were picked up about the landing. The steering problem was due to a thrust reverser not deploying, the spoilers I did try to arm in the final descent but the keystroke didn't take... grrr..
