Air Craft loading Pre broken

When i load up the aircraft in realistic setting the aircraft is pre-broken....i followed the other instructions on how to fix this and nothing worked.

Some one please help me

The aircraft has persistent damage modeling for a reason. What other instructions did you actually follow? Have you run the maintenance GUI and repaired and/or replaced all the damaged components?

Or did you use the re-set tool?

What mode are you operating in?

And please supply system specifications, your one line request for help is about as much use as a fart in a spacesuit with the current level of information..!

It was another one of the forum post's and it said to rerinstall the katana 4x as an admin

I did use the reset tool and it said "Data File Not Found"

I am operating in realistic mode and even after repairing the aircraft fully going for a 2 minute flight then landing exiting and coming back on the aircraft is rebroken in all the ways that is was before

I had the same problem. It was a broken FSconnect. I uninstalled FSX, deleted all the remaining FSconnect files, reinstalled all the circus and everything was ok ! May be…

could i just posibly reinstall FSconnect (dont even know if thats posible) but my disks are messed up and i dont want to buy all new disks

Has a version of FSconnect - don't know if it's the up-to-date and latest. But if you're getting no error messages in-sim it is unlikely to be this., but as you seem intent on not replying to the request for information we can't help on the tidbits provided...

Likeliest explanation is that you have FSX installed in the default folder( which is a no-no), have UAC on (off is advised unless you have FSX installed to a personalised folder), or don't have the correct administrator provisions for your rig.Or you don't have SP2/Acceleration installed.

More than that we cannot say until/unless you actually provide the information we need.

When loading the Katana you get a status screen at the top left. Check what is the system status there. If you have a red ERROR indication then it is probably FSconnect. The reset tool dont find the data file of the Katana. That could be an indication that it was not created by the instalation (should be in c: user/your name/appdata/roaming/4X_DATA). But i dont know if this is FSconnect related. Perhaps Simon can tell you ?

Then as previously advised, the problem is probably NOT FSConnect. You probably have a permissions issue within your rig preventing the data file being created.

Please look at other technical questions in the forum to see what other information needs to be provided - Vista suggests you don't have UAC disabled, OR you have FSX installed in the default folders which creates a permissions issue - please provide a copy of the content of the FSX.cfg (assuming you know how to display hidden files and folders?). We should also know what version of FSX you are running - FSX, SP1, SP2, Acceleration...

You may have to reconsider moving FSX to a non-default location.

Finally, that doesn't look like a very `strong` video card and it may simply be you don't have the system specifications to run this most complex of addons. But have you tried reinstalling the Kat X with full Administrator privileges?

See what I mean about actually offering the information? You made no mention of dual monitors before.

However, I don't think that is the issue, the non-creation of the data file is clearly a permissions issue. You don't have to uninstall FSX to move it to a different location but you DO have to reinstall any licensed addons whose licences expect to find the aircraft in one location, when now you've moved it to another. So to be honest, a full re-install is usually the best solution.

No, it has to do with the level of protection that is applied to the

c: user/your name/appdata/roaming/4X_DATA

folder - or more specifically the appdata folder and any sub-folders. Either that, or you have an anti-virus kicking in to actively prevent the creation of a simple file called `data.cfg`. Is that actually OFF?

If you can't even manually create that file (and I assume you have view hidden files and folders switched on as you were able to read and copy FSX.cfg) then regardless what you say about UAC and Administrator privileges, you don't have the required authority to create a file of that name, in that folder. That cannot be an Aerosoft `permissions` issue, and in any case if you look at your own FSX.cfg file you HAVE permissions for the Katana X already entered!

Well it looks like there is no connection between the plane and his data file. Did you check the status screen displayed when loading the Katana? And, if you did, what was the system indication? Either OK or Error... Check this.

The persistent damage structure of the files means that if you change from realistic mode to another you WILL carry the damage across until it is fixed, or the reset button used.

The fact that you are not having any problems with the other modes suggest that the aircraft is working as advertised. Are you loading the aircraft form the SAME flight every time? That is probably where the root cause of the problems lies.

Start FSX, load a default aircraft (C172) at a default field or airport, THEN switch to the Katana.

As has been suggested, this cannot be an issue with the aircraft, it MUST be a local issue dependant on hardware or software settings. Nobody else has reported this issue and it only afflicts yours when you have the advanced settings set - so it all comes down to access to the data.cfg file..

The options are to reinstall FSX, reinstall FS Connect, and reinstall the Katana, which I presume you must already have done as it was mentioned early on, but I can't see an obvious statement that you actually did so?

The other option is to repair the aircraft from the maintenance menu once it is loaded `pre-broken` THEN save that as a flight - I noted in your fsx .cfg that you do NOT have a standard saved flight as a default. That is a mistake.

But just WHAT is pre-broken? Can you supply a screenshot of what is broken when you re-load the aircraft? It seems to me that if you can use the maintenance screen to repair the aircraft, then fly it successfully you have proved that the data .cfg is present and correct and that data is being written to it.

So it must be something ELSE that is causing this problem and possibly only a full reinstall of FSX will set everything back to standard..
