First of all, I have created this topic since there are a lot of issues with and question about Mega Airport Amsterdam X. Also it is not clear which issues are fixed and which issues are not. Therefore I want to use this topic, with a list of outstanding issues, for both the FS9 and FSX version:

FS9 v1.14:

- Blending the airport ground textures with FS9 default terrain and/or Ultimate Terrain Europe [OPEN]

- Ground bumping and dirt when taxiing to RWY 22 [OPEN]

- Ground bumping and dirt when taxiing to RWY 18R/36L [OPEN]

- Incorrect runway textures and taxiway lines [OPEN]

- Missing night texture on a KLM ground vehicle [OPEN]

- Inverted texture on truck [OPEN]

- Wrong gatenumber for gate G9 [OPEN]

- Missing alpha channels on several textures (performance) [OPEN]

- Update for the panorama roof with a KLM Fokker 100 [OPEN]

- Update for the new GA Terminal at Schiphol Oost [OPEN]

FSX v1.04:

- Performance issues (low FPS), reported by a lot of users [OPEN]

Addons:

- Extra scenery (spottersplace RWY 27) by Gerard Salden

Please feel free to response, so I can collect all issues!

fsx: dreadful FPS :(

Like you there are many others that have low fps.

In the past I have had good contact with Cornel, byt recently he is not responding anymore to my emails.

There fore I find that AS must come with a statement :

either there will be an update and if when

or

this it it , no updates

Then everyone knows what to expect or not

Imho AS has said to many times that they are waiting for replies.

And to me after this long period of time with no clear statement I feel that AS has let as down on this.

If the developer does not come with solutions to issues then just say so and let's move on.....

BTW : My files for connecting the photoscenery roads to the default FSX underground or UTX underground has been with AS since december last year....

Gerard, did they included them in the update for FSX?

No they haven't.

Update 9-8-2011 :

Yesterday I received an email from Cornel about Schiphol X.

He is looking into the framerate issue.

Crancking up the framerate is a very difficult issue.

He could make the scenery less detailed at some points and that would give better framerates.

Eg: changing the LOD so certain objects that are further away appear less detailed. On the other hand people want the most realistic environment and objects popping up when approaching is not something everybody likes.

Because the Schiphol area is larger than most of the other major airports also the photo scenery has more impact on the framerate.

So it all comes down to compromises.

At Aerosoft they are masters in making airports with a good framerate. They also use some tricks to get the highest framerate possivle icw a very good level of detail.

Perhaps they can help in this situation.
